Here's some more updates of The Devon. Not sure if I'm a fan of the color of the brick, but at least it matches the 3-story walkups across the street. \

I feel like some gold or green lights could have a positive psychological effect as to how I see a hospital, lol. Kinda like how a health pack would glow in first person videogames but for a whole building.

Probably wasn't too hard of a decision to make, because they can point to the Stringtown/Grove City Wal-Mart and say it's basically around the corner. Still, was hoping all the increased housing in the area would've been incentive to stay.

Fascinating! I wonder what country that shipping container came from.

We can only hope that the tower is as aesthetically layered as this here lasagna.

Reminds me of the interchanges I would see driving around Dallas, that flyover looks massive from this angle. At the same time, it looks like it'll drop them off right into the Greenlawn exit.

If you do that you might as well make it a loop and go through Buffalo and Erie as well.

I'm kind of getting Quarry vibes from this development.

I like the map but the labeling makes it look like East Dayton is west of Dayton.

You could even make a cruise-style vacation and just do sightseeing on every major stop along the way.

Yeah, that stretch of I-70 is one of the most unimpeded and quintessential views of the city and the bridge is going to slice through the bottom quarter of it. And when it's completed there will be no view from the bridge except for passengers who will be able to turn their necks.

Fair point, I mean, yeah Kohl's is nothing spectacular lol. But when it comes to clothes I prefer it to Target, Old Navy and Marshalls, and I find it a great resource for gift shopping. But to Pablo's point, I'm just bummed that I have to drive even further out to Dublin or Hilliard to find something that I consider a basic shopping amenity; and local boutiques don't cater much to my casual style of clothing.

Well, I'm happy about the apartments, I just wish it didn't always have to be at the expense of the shopping. We already lost the Kroger in that same corridor.

I didn't know that part of the plan extended north of 270, but seeing how that's park space that makes sense.

Here are some drive-by pics of The Devon. It's got a lot of progress! Definitely has some presence from the North.

I know this is further down the road, but I hope they can do something impressive or more emphatic with the streetscape and frontage along Town. I like entering the Peninsula through Broad. Seeing COSI and the Veterans Memorial, and having the traffic light at Belle all help make an impact. Driving on Town everyday, I know we like narrow, walkable streets, but Belle feels almost like an alley there and the Peninsula there has a blink-and-you-might-miss-it experience. You zoom past and then you're going under railroad tracks to Franklinton.

Okay cool, but I'm wondering why they had to mention it was two doors down from a Waffle House 🤔

I like it? Shoot. People probably think I'm safe and boring now.
