  1. At its current height, it would have been a massive improvement. But to think it has a ways to go top out still is such a nice change of pace for this city.
  2. Does NRI own those parking lots north of the stadium? I know 4-5 years ago NRI mentioned as space fills in the arena district, they would have to go more vertical. So maybe it is quite plausible those lots would be taller if NRI owns them. Now that the apartments are nearly done by the Chipotle building maybe they will focus on other parts of the arena district🤞
  3. FWIW, per the developer website the site is still under the projects tab with an estimated start date of spring 2025. Though the website is very basic and does not necessarily inspire confidence.
  4. I feel like 30 minutes is generous on weekdays. Rush hour it takes me at least 40-50 minutes each way. Been getting worse as more people go in person for work.
  5. These new plans seem to support this quote from the Dispatch: "Though it will be about the same size as the existing one at 1 million square feet, the configuration of the new terminal will be much different. It has room to grow and will be able to handle different-sized aircraft, including the biggest ones with an eye toward flights to Europe and other international destinations. One of the two international gates will be able to handle the biggest aircraft, including the 747-8, Boeing's largest plane." https://www.dispatch.com/story/business/travel/2024/10/27/john-glenn-international-airport-will-construct-a-2-billion-terminal/75001778007/#:~:text=Though it will be about,Europe and other international destinations.
  6. I get it. Some things have changed since last year and office does not necessarily make sense. But even scaled back, a 15 story building with a grocery should and CAN look better than...this. No place shoots themself in the foot more than the city of Columbus.
  7. Probably frees up that space and many other surface lots on the campus for further expansion.
  8. Another surface lot down. Xan't wait for this part of downtown to have more buildings than surface lots.
  9. Glad at least the bank portion may still happen. It is such a beautiful building to let waste away. Also would bring more vibrancy to the corner with Parable and High Point/Condado across the streets. Hopefully something happens with the other buildings in the future that adds to the vibrancy.
  10. The only thing irresponsible is letting this guy continue to be the chairman of the commission. I so want Columbus to take the next steps with density in the region but these commissioners stuck in their small town, car centric vibes ruin it. Can't wait for the zoning changes.
  11. Just from my limited insight and connections, the issue is Schiff.
  12. Clintonville residents worried about apartments being built along High St? I'm shocked.
  13. Yes, summer 2024 according to the construction signs
  14. I didn't see it no. Unfortunately, I think something like this happens in the area (a connector of 71 to 70). Traffic is at capacity in some areas and only going to get worse. I doubt a full outerbelt is considered for a while. I wish better options (alternative transportation) were considered instead but being far out from central Columbus I doubt other options even gets a second look.
  15. If Columbus gets this designation, I am not sure we would be ready for what would happen next (in a good way)!
