  1. I personally would not wrap all of a corporations or sole billionaire’s value to a city around their personal foundations, certainly a piece
  2. We don’t have a lot of billionaire families that have large scale interest Cleveland, Cincinnati is and has benefitted from their billionaire’s interests. In no way am I saying roll out the red carpet but it’s better to have them than not in the same way having a corporation HQ-ed in your city helps
  3. Also would lose another billionaire’s interest, feels slightly similar to what we lost with Peter B. Lewis
  4. Feels like they’re on completely different pages. Browns statement only mentioned NEO as a location the City is saying you’ll have your stadium exactly where it is now and we’re planning for it
  5. https://wtam.iheart.com 4:08 is the estimate
  6. Not that these help but the Milwaukee bucks and their son owns a portion of Nashvilles NHL team. theres been reports last year that haslem sports group is still looking to expand into more pro franchises, complete speculation would be going full on for NHL since that’s the only thing Cleveland and the haslem’s lack but as mentioned the land is “not for a stadium” so guessing not related to another sports franchise
  7. I like to think it was Ken’s repost here that made the browns put out an official statement
  8. Agreed just feels like the economics of the bridge completely changes w/o fan traffic
  9. The more I reread this the more it comes off as we “appreciate” the effort to analyze a renovation but we want a brand new stadium and we’re willing to do that anywhere in NEO
  10. I still can’t find a place to eat without a 2hr wait with our current entertainment districts that said I don’t think I will be traveling to brookpark to put my name in
  11. So a mega practice facility stretching from berea
  12. Personally regardless of the effort he’s putting in for the riverfront I think that the praise is more with bedrock than Bibb himself so I think he’ll go down as another mayor that lost the browns only difference is in exchange we got another bridge
  13. Don’t we get the final analysis from Bibb for the lakefront this month or next?
  14. Only thing I challenge here is sofi’s proximity to the airport it doesn’t matter where that was built, it would get the events it would no matter what just because it’s in LA,in the same way MetLife is getting the World Cup final. its proximity to a major city is the only factor.
  15. I do fear the timeline/logistics. feels like we’re running out time 2027 is only 3 years away, feels like a new location seems to be the only solution otherwise where would they play during “extensive renovations” that would seem like would it would take more than an offseason according to reports of disrepair of the current stadium. and unfortunately this land acquisition may have been one of the few available/possible especially if the city turned down the possibility of lakeside Ave 😢
  16. I hope so. I think this great for the lakefront but terrible for downtown businesses and hotels. I can’t imagine the economics being in the cities favor if this were to go through.
  17. Yeah I didn’t want to bring Cleveland into this but we have great and established youth programs not to mention the monsters have the best average attendance record in the league plus a closer draw for Canadians
  18. Also confused by this quote and question its relevancy… “It's way more convenient to Uber or drive,” even if you Uber or drive the bridge can act as the last .25 mile walk from your car or get dropped off by an Uber at the malls
  19. What’s their beef with them? feels like super high end is the only solution here given the constraints
  20. To be clear they are open and have been open right next door it’s just not as spacious as the previous place
  21. https://www.instagram.com/p/C27c5PaA2gK/?igsh=czE2MnlzZXo5NDlv probably related to a failure to come back from the water damage of their place on Lorain Ave. but All Things For You will be moving and cite parking as a bonus. “excited to announce that we will have our very own ample parking area! No more worrying about finding street parking.”
  22. Option 1 of 3 of a “temporary” pocket park I wonder what this will end up looking like as it doesn’t follow any of the concepts. Curious if they’re ditching the true pocketpark concept because if they’re just doing mulch and plants now should we take that as a sign of cost cutting or doing less now because they know they’ll do the retail building sooner and it’s not worth the price of the other materials just the rip them up
