  2. We won’t need that space until wfh dies so maybe 10-15 years
  3. “while being built to code, the structure was not designed so it could be expanded vertically. “ lol this takes me back to the moment in the design review meeting where someone on the committee kept suggesting they dig deeper to allow the garage to be built upon and that development guy from sherwin laughed it off and was certain that would never be needed.
  4. I think Dan Gilbert’s company probably makes the most sense as they probably use it more with the 50 game/season g league team
  5. Their initial concepts had a band playing in it, I think it makes sense as it becomes a DORA
  6. New found pro and con with the new tower pro: tons of light being reflected into my apartment con: can not look at the skyline w/o going blind
  7. I’m guessing it’ll reach a similar conclusion as Crosley Tower in Cincinnati they’ll cite repair and modernization as too challenging and limiting leaving tearing it down more beneficial
  8. So they actually accidentally under built their tower? If the second building was only supposed to support their partners and not their main staff they made a mistake then?
  9. Silhouette that shall be known as the dueling paint brushes
  10. Seems North High and co-hatch owners had a rift between them which triggered the closing of north high. And that rift has a cost in the 10s of millions
  11. Snavely and Great Lakes Brewing Company are working on something together not sure what at the moment
  12. Feel like market conditions are keeping them parking lots like the nucleus cite, right now with interest rates and construction costs where they are it’s more economical to go after the bigger visions that require pre-planning, surveying, studies, and the city to start infrastructure pieces vs starting a construction ready site that just needs capital
  13. Haven’t taken a photos but the top of this building is visible from Detroit w25 intersection and w Huron. It’s cool seeing something new pop out from down there
  14. Any word on the ground floor tenants/timeline? I thought I heard about a restaurant didn’t hear much else
  15. Somehow we even got screwed in ESPNs AI “reimagined” stadiums, basically takes our current stadium and moves it to an island?
  16. https://x.com/theeferringer/status/1715478639704179155?s=46&t=n62rzPBbNfArJwemouEzQQ pretty cool
  17. Also should we read into this geometric massing of the stadium at all and/or the seemingly very purposely otherwise fairly random commercial high rise to the south west of the stadium
  18. Interestingly they mentioned they’re looking at retail along the board walk for this facility including cafe etc
  19. They mentioned perforated metal and glass
  20. Still sort of surprised bedrock wouldnt want to retain the lift bridge near the w 3rd development. Interestingly they did mention the bridge as a component of character of the area sorry wrong thread!
  21. I’d say health care is bringing them back and cle didn’t have a chance for intel that’s something dewine would want close to home
  22. Sounds like nice stuff for an city center in general, massive L for not having this in/around the city center and for plowing down homes for it
