Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Usually not against design choices but to me this just looks like any semi-modern design from the suburbs. Doesn’t really give me urban city or even historical OHC vibes

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
(Just found this thread, great thread. Agree with DOT director KJP plans above) here’s Cincinnati’s plans on expanding rail throughout the city, note we’re ahead (aside from the street car) we should definitely continue to build out what we have, also I feel like Columbus has to be way behind. Also if the 3c connector ever takes off the more rail within the city will certainly aid in the effectiveness of carless options year round

Nothing additional, just heard the same talk about a month ago from someone that works for snavely Glad to see there’s some actual confirmation that’s public

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Second part is disappointing. As for the first it was Jim Haviland, flats forward director speaking to it. listening back sounds like it’s still in the works “We are undertaking a major stakeholder driven Columbus Road peninsula master plan and this project is one we were really focused on being a model”

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Do we have a Columbus road peninsula thread or should future discussion just be thrown in flats non east bank? @KJP during the zoning meeting today “The Pine” development mentioned a Columbus road master plan, did you ever see it or post it in the past? For others this was in zoning since the development plans to have 0 parking on the development and what would have been parking in the front was made into a finished walkway

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
If I remember correctly from the peek they gave us of all phases the “future developments” around the garage were like 3 stories and the building next the main tower, I think we guessed was like 30 stories

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
This went in front of the city planning commission today, listening through it you’ll think to yourself if only Sherwin Williams went about their plan the same way and fluker even said exactly that. Very excited for this district and of course the brewery to come!

Timeline around the proposal process mentioned in the Steven lift article above Joyce mentioned the haslem plan is just 1 of 20 plans being included in the total master plan

Lakewood: Development and News
BoomerangCleRes replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Northeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionNvm he WAS the EVP of the browns, uncertain if this is current property info but seems to be the only name associated with the property. given it seems he still lives in Cleveland and a business that he was a partner in just sold for 600 million… it certainly adds up

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
Video of ground breaking a couple days ago They say the park (which sounds like both sides of the river) will be open next summer.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Westinghouse Redevelopment
Would this end up going before the landmark committee?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
A 3-2 vote is pretty nuts though for a project that brings a lot of good to an otherwise dead corner

Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
“So literally right across the bridge it's ok to build 600+ft high but once you cross that water way it's tiny buildings only? I just don't get that sentiment. This plot could not be any closer to downtown. Let them build!!” And not to mention the 11 story church and state, 19 story lake view terrace, and the 15 story river view…. All nearby neighbors

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
“Bibb and Huang also said that the new lakefront planning effort will proceed under the assumption that the city-owned football stadium, where the Browns lease expires in 2028, will remain on the lakefront, despite speculation that the team wants a new facility elsewhere near downtown.” If it takes a bazillion studies to get things down why not study under both possibilities of the stadium being there and the greater possibility of it not…

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I may have heard them wrong, you’re probably right considering there’s a citizen on w25th
-
Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Apparently citizen bank has had a fully set up bank branch for months on the corner of W28th and Detroit at 2615 Detroit ave but for some reason haven’t put a sign up or opened yet. And guessing most have already seen but Tost sandwich cafe is coming across the street from the citizen bank in the Jamestown building under the new splatter loft

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I would say any proceeds from a sale would certainly fund something much nicer than the current conditions. As for the last point that’s a good one, unless in the master planning they investigated all outcomes including flipping the land and going else where
-
Cleveland: Random Development and News
Correct because I’m not a reporter or around the industry heard it from talking to someone who works for snavely and they heard it from a city official, only shared what I heard and asked if anyone has anyone heard anymore (aka Ken which it seems not)

Undisrupted views of Lake Erie + river + downtown vs river + downtown
-
Cleveland: Random Development and News
I’d say better optics would be getting rid of an 85 year old development which has over-served its purpose as immigrant industrial residential complex. I would also venture to say equally “bad” optics would be taking a tour of the current conditions of these buildings
-
Cleveland: Random Development and News
Presumably they’d use the funds from the sale/other federal programs to build a new else where but also mix in low income housing throughout the new development
-
Cleveland: Random Development and News
Anyone seen anything official around this or familiar with talks of this moving forward?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
After several failed attempts from Peter snavely, it seems CHMA has verbally agreed to sell lake view terraces to another developer and they plan to demo the whole neighborhood
