  1. https://www.homes.com/property/4910-detroit-ave-cleveland-oh/eg9y0tfmpqkwj/?l=0523njd7c42z0 6 parcels on 49th and Detroit for sale for what seems to be not a ridiculous price although I’m sure clean ups old be needed. But a potential opportunity to take down a used car lot!
  2. I think the police are understaffed, their concerns are not car break-ins they reflect as much when they show up in the mornings of 100+ break-ins across Ohio city and tremont. trees will not make it harder they’ll at least make a shady place to stand while they fill out some paperwork.
  3. This crime deterrence argument is hilarious, these people don’t care they’ll do it broad day light in an open parking lot, they’ll jump over fences if you put them up, they’ll sneak into garages as someone pulls in it and will even break in without any immediate payoff it legitimately does not matter the set up of the parking lot I’ve lived in downtown Cincinnati, OHC and now Gordon square they’ll break in whenever and wherever because there’s nothing actually stopping them and certainly some trees will not make a difference on the crime front
  4. Interesting he mentions a downtown dome is possible

  6. Gov. Mike DeWine met with Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam to discuss Brook Park stadium proposal Mayor Justin Bibb and Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne visited the governor’s residence the next day in Columbus to discuss their desire that the team stay on the lakefront. https://signalcleveland.org/gov-mike-dewine-met-with-browns-owners-jimmy-and-dee-haslam-to-discuss-brook-park-stadium-proposal/
  7. The above reminds me, with traffic flowing out of w28th how would this interact with the future st igs build of their stadium didn’t it take over this part of w28th?
  8. Sounds like a fantastic development, if only he could do bridegeworks as well
  9. I’m sure there is more, but pretty sure Atlanta fc still plays in Mercedes Benz stadium edit: my bad playing catch up didn’t mean to pile on
  10. Ah my mistake didn’t know that counted as two. so is 24L/6R needed? because it seems to be the only runway that would be an issue for a dome
  11. But only 6L is available, so does Burke need to have 2 runways?
  12. I just thought it was noteworthy the browns said the hurdle was wasn’t just the FAA, if the FAA is the only true hurdle why mention economic factors as a hurdle. economic factors I’d argue are just as much of a hurdle anywhere this dome ends up
  13. Additional question who functions as the reliever Thursday-Monday for the airshow
  14. Agreed loses money and also hinders our ability to create additional revenue
  15. No judgement as it’s a Friday night don’t feel like grabbing my laptop here’s my lazy version from my phone. Scale is based on the 200ft listing and matched that up with the football field width which is 160ft. so based off this really rough estimate the stadium is jussst touching boundary but with my questionable photoshop the stadium could very well be clear of the boundary
  16. Would be useful and interesting if someone could overlay this to scale with the Burke runways
  17. Just feels like an odd rule for a building that’s not in the direct flight path and could possible move further south* with all the other changes going on around it
  18. I see base off reports in 2014 the FAA was pushing for building night restrictions within 10k feet to be lowered from 250ft to 160ft. Not sure if that ever went through.
  19. Is that city restrictions or FAA?
  20. We can’t dig into the ground at all? (I understand the fill situation but there’s surely solutions for it)
  21. “We also cannot put a dome on the current building because of economic constraints and FAA restrictions.“ Got back to looking at this quote and the reasons for no dome on the current site is kind of weak assuming we could close the airport by the time construction would start on the dome at current site. Also why does the FAA have an issue with dome over the current site? If we can’t put a dome there how would we be able put buildings there? and the other reasoning of economic constraints? Putting a dome on a stadium at the current site is more expensive than the BP plan?
  22. Not to harp on it but my god that’s so much land just for parking, feels not of the era of development
  23. I’d say this is a powerful group, an ownership group that could really challenge the Lindner’s FC Cincinnati ownership group. (although I would never doubt the Lindner’s ability to pull together a similar group if they felt they needed to and probably could worth the amount of large companies in Cincinnati)
