Yeah don’t know why we’d want to take down our history just to make space for generic things that make us look like every other city

Feel like I hear these point about difficulty or the inability to build off the infill it can’t be that different right, lots of coastal cities have high rises on infill like south beach, large parts of Boston, and manhattan in the US I wonder if it’s that much different seems like just like any other high rise you’d need to go to bedrock regardless right?

In the left side of the building but again this is purely for the zoning purposes. The commission mentioned having stairs up the middle of the porch (which would be tough for ADA compliance, also there doesn’t seem to be a enough room at the front of the property for that to happen)

Hopkins or the county airport. I’m just saying sure Burke is incredibly close but so are two other airports especially when considering drive time and the consistency of that drive unlike other cities where traffic is far more congested and unpredictable. to clear it up folks are saying the luxury and desirability of Burke is that it’s stone throw away. And I’m saying since we don’t have major congestion we still pretty much that same luxury over other cities with the other two airports still being very close

this probably gives the best comparison to Burke’s service elsewhere “Here are the closest Signature Aviation FBOs to city centers in the U.S., including non-international airports: 1. Burke Lakefront Airport (BKL) - Located about 1 mile from downtown Cleveland, Ohio . 2. Meacham International Airport (FTW) - Approximately 5 miles from downtown Fort Worth, Texas. 3. Nashville International Airport (BNA) - Around 8 miles from downtown Nashville, Tennessee. 4. Teterboro Airport (TEB) - About 12 miles from downtown Manhattan, New York. 5. Van Nuys Airport (VNY) - Approximately 16 miles from downtown Los Angeles, California. 6. San Antonio International Airport (SAT) - Roughly 8 miles from downtown San Antonio, Texas. 7. Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) - Located about 12 miles from downtown Chicago, Illinois. 8. Dallas Love Field (DAL) - Around 6 miles from downtown Dallas, Texas. 9. Oakland International Airport (OAK) - Approximately 9 miles from downtown Oakland, California. 10. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - About 3 miles from downtown Washington, D.C.”

Burke? I asked it for international airports to show that Hopkins can do the job of Burke w/o much affect in experience

According to chat gpt we have the 9th closest airport to our city center and the only one on that list that has a consistent drive time

Hopkins is also incredibly close, I’d assume much closer than most other cities (12 miles from city center) especially with the absence of congestion (consistently 15ish mins from our city center). same can pretty much be said for the County airport.

That’s funny I was in Miami a few weeks ago and I was going to say the same thing. Parking garages are opportunities for a statement but we seem to do the least

Big fan of Forest City FC- Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
I think we actually agree, I didn’t see your purposed bridge so I was thinking relying on the metro parks boat taxi and center street bridge would be a huge concern as they’re not exactly reliable. the bridge you propose makes sense location wise just think it would need to be a pretty wide bridge as I think most people would utilizing downtown’s parking options/rapid stop for matches and any Jacob’s pavilion events since there’s basically no parking options on the West Bank or further west around Ohio city- Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
we’d need way better pedestrian connections to the east side for this to work- Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
Not to mention it seems like it’ll have a connection to bedrock’s riverfront development- Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium

That’s an incredible amount of power lines- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
SoFi and I assume others are 100% privately funded. I’d also say Florida and its cities are pretty fiscally responsible and run at a budget surplus also should note in the video they said the public funding will result in no extra taxes through 2030. I’m not sure this sets any precedent as everyone’s situation with their city state and local populations are so different- Cleveland: Flats East Bank
A look at the new Oswald signage, seeing red up there looks a little weird to me but I think I’m just used to seeing EY up there for so long - Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
