  1. Back from vacay everything is a bit greener and lusher than I left it. Also awesome to see the other side done, now I can’t wait for the lighting
  2. I think we just need a Carl Fisher like person to build barrier islands off of our harbor walls. then we’ll have our own Miami Beach and the browns can build out as much as possible at the current location
  3. Land Studio looking for artists for the Stones Levee Bridge https://ugc.production.linktr.ee/0d6c3fc2-5753-47f6-9920-ea42f69b84c5_StonesLeveeBridge-RFQ-240509.pdf
  4. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2024/05/could-ohio-taxpayers-chip-in-600m-for-a-new-browns-stadium-a-top-state-lawmaker-says-the-state-doesnt-have-it.html?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=likeshopme&utm_content=www.instagram.com/p/C6roV-DvzY- Or 600million “We don’t have 600m to give…I mean it’s really easy to not support it when you don’t have it” so pretty much as could have been predicted the state will choose the least expensive option
  5. Shouldn’t they be ahead of us if their lease ends in 2026? I also saw they’re doing a $40m renovation right now edit: i see bengals are trying to do a 5 year extension nvm
  6. I really think unless jimmy is able to spin this development as something besides a stadium and a “village” they’ve made a pretty easy decision for the state to just give enough for the lakefront. all the leverage is with the state of where this thing ends up and I think it would be hard for the state to give probably double the amount money when they don’t have to I think this stays at the lake, unless all of this is just to pressure Bibb and other to open some land east of downtown. otherwise I’m struggling to see how the state would reason giving so much more if a similar thing for less could exist on the lake and more aligns with infrastructure changes that are already being planned
  7. Could also be how they get more funds even on a federal level spin the entire development as a transit hub
  8. It’s funny too because the haslams would implicitly make more revenue during non-game days being at the post office site or east of downtown by simply being closer to dense urban areas vs an airport
  9. I guess it’s been said in other ways but isn’t it safe to say the decision of where the stadium goes either lakefront or brook park will be dictated by the State not the browns at all. If jimmy only covers half then the location is 100% dependent on how much the state will give them right?
  10. Tough watching Harbor Bay working on a 13-15 story timber building in Columbus, this would be a perfect place for an intro level project
  11. Cleveland got mentioned during Brightline’s event in Vegas today as a place where it makes sense to build another high speed rail “There a lot of city pairs that are attractive so the too far to drive, too short to fly with two big population centers that’s the secret sauce…so we look around the country there’s very obvious ones…in the Midwest even like you look at places from you know Cleveland to Columbus” starts talking about other opportunities at about 6:14 also semi worth noting he is also part owner of the Bucks like the Haslems which this would obviously benefit
  12. I didn’t read or watch anything, what did the bears end up doing with the suburban land?
  13. They do have two locations downtown albeit small, one for their Level20 division and another for their data warehouse near masthead that said and Ken already mentioned it campus 2 is pretty large and can be developed further if needed it. Plus we have to realize the impact for AI for a company like progressive is huge as most of their employees are CSRs
  14. Has it just been been sunnier or has the tower recently added a white outline
  15. Not that i remember. If thats the true sightline, they should him point toward TT so he’s coming at the people entering the plaza where the stairs are shown and they people would go around him and as they approach they can see the bronze people on either side of the entry point up above you drawing your eyes up if they weren’t already and then when you come or look back from the entry he’s lined up with TT
  16. Planning commission saw the Superman statue this morning they suggested making the blue darker so Superman doesn’t get lost in the view and they also noted the people next to the telephone booth will be a darker bronze so they don't pop as much as they do here also will adjust the benches and will reconsider orientations of the plaza for photo ops
  17. New Superman statue going in front of the previous medical mart
  18. Maybe they really need the parking rev
  19. West side needs to be expanded a bit further cuts off half of Detroit Shoreway and Gordon square and doesn’t even include Edgewater and other western neighborhoods
  20. I do think signage could be better, OTR does this really well. People that live in suburbs always ask when we meet up where they can park in tremont and OhC so I think this is a good point
  21. would be great if we could replace daves and get a downtown cincy urban Kroger type development with built in parking. which goes along with probably a fair amount of your points that mixed use development build off a parking garage would be great, although with the nimbys that we have in the neighborhood probably safe to assume nothing at this scale except maybe behind WSM would probably make it off the ground
