  1. That's because every parking company doesn't understand maintenance until it hits them in the butt and costs 10x more.
  2. This is looking better and better! Only thing I'll push back on is I don't think lap is appropriate for that much of a facade on such a building so large. I would be interested in seeing a different material.
  3. Well part of it looks good - the brown tumor on the end not so much
  4. Yup they were opening it today. Cabs changed their routes again and I saw it there.
  5. For sale on Facebook Marketplace for $28,000. The city should really invest in stuff like this:
  6. Also, the airport people absolutely suck. Several people criticized their all-white design and they basically said kick rocks and that its the "Columbus identity." Last time I checked we didn't live in a white, sterile, basic city. I feel like they're trying to value engineer yet another building in this city.
  7. Permits have now also been filed for new parking garage. Should expect that to start in 2025 if all moves well.
  8. Time we call Marie to get this mess sorted out proper!
  9. I've got a better idea. get rid of the aluminum panels and make it all brick. Also make windows with more panes. Then it looks great.
  10. The concept design looked horribly underwhelming and modern, so not a fan thus far.
  11. Hope the capital building one gets push back - 10 stories is way too short.
  12. Yeah they're moving aggressively on this one from what they told me

  14. They really shouldn't have knocked down many of those buildings though, and what they did to Page Hall is just appalling.
  15. Retail is still somewhat hurting. Take a look at The Nicholas - there's still several spots open.
  16. Per these plans I'm only seeing one. What confuses me most is the angle of the 2nd terminal. Seems too sharp to expand fully. If they do, I'm going to guess it'd be some sort of "island" with underground access...
  17. Ask and you shall receive ;)
  18. New plans for the airport show an international gate with a much larger plane footprint. I'd say some sort of overseas flight is in store for us... Looks like a 757+ sized aircraft - much bigger than the other planes. Could be even larger. Also can assume this gate in the interim may be used for large charter flights (OSU football, etc.)
  19. This and the brown part of the Nicholas are horrid. Everything else is pretty good. The real crime is the city approving this garbage. Too bad public sector doesn’t pay - someone needs to steal Melecca from MN and get him to run the architectural office at the city. This modern, value-engineered garbage doesn’t add any character or identity to our city.
  20. Some of that height is parking, and those buildings aren’t final design. Furthermore, the windows are hideous past the main facade - it needs more work. That being said it appears they’ll be using a similar stone as the PNC center to clad it.
  21. Can someone explain how the current airport has more gates than the new one but only 29 are listed?
