  1. I definitely think the middle tower needs different cladding, and the enclosed walkways need something as well. Looks a little too similar to the bad architecture of the 60s and 70s.
  2. They really missed the opportunity to make that public art a large mural over the elevator cores the entire height of the structure. That would have been awesome!
  3. Pace should start quickening now that we’re on to the more level, standard floor plates. Especially if this warm weather holds up.
  4. Again, they went cheap. This is a cheap development dressed up to look like high-end. The IKEA-grade kitchens confirm that. Looks like a European nightmare
  5. He has a 7-story "in right" that's going to be a hotel he claims is on-par with Junto. How that's possible 1/2 mile away in that area I don't know.
  6. Seems like a lot of projects have been announced and then dropped off the map
  7. Rob posted some video of him building a fence at the site saying they were going to be breaking ground. Is also seeking a 90-day street closure permit for construction. Though the question I think we all have is, where in the world is the crane going???
  8. Commissions suck: https://columbusunderground.com/commission-approves-demolition-of-spaghetti-warehouse-building-bw1/
  9. The TikTok channel is far better than the terrible things I witnessed on Twitter
  10. Glenwood is apparently breaking ground.
  11. Fines should be issued against the owners for this.
  12. I went to Land Grant and parked at gravity in the middle of the day. The garage was nearly completely empty. I was probably one of 20 cars.
  13. Ugly building. They really are dropping the ball with these value-engineered designs.
  14. I'd say that and failure to create amenities. There's no draw, no additional greenspace, nothing. Nothing to activate the area. Kaufman tried with the patio but I haven't really seen that go anywhere. But that's so disconnected from this anyways. The Peninsula is a missed opportunity, plain and simple.
  15. It's become yet another value-engineered development. It seems to be all Columbus does. How is it that we have all this investment and regional prowess and yet everything we build looks like crap?
  16. The project went from what should have been a thriving lifestyle community to a mediocre residential conglomerate. There's no dedicated central green space, no defining architecture, and no notable commercial with the exception of the Junto. It may be leasing, but its failed completely in its potential to be something great.
  17. Like the inclusion of services in-house.
  18. Probably delayed. It’s weird because even though rates are decreasing, developers are cutting costs and holding back on projects yet again. I’m trying to figure out if that’s because they are anticipating additional rate cuts, but if so it makes no sense to downsize. Something else is at play here, and I don’t think its land costs or anything regulatory. This will affect projects statewide.
  19. Well this is interesting and much taller…
  20. Again, I can get these dudes a building 2-3 stories higher for the roughly the same cost. No need for a 6 story here.
  21. Have we started on the tower floors finally?
  22. With rate cuts and no news or movement, I sense this one becoming dead.
