  1. I guess they're not using the original facade as planned...
  2. No I'm thinking glass with like white or marble or concrete vertical members. Its shaped kind of like a boomerang but it curves up and around.
  3. Right across the street from me. Can't wait to move. With the exception of poured basements and prefabricated panels, these homes are still terrible because they're built by mostly bad subs and subpar labor.
  4. Nope... turns out you can get great stuff cheap. And there's always bulk deals with buildings such as these with significant discounts (sometimes more than 50%). Character matters.
  5. I don't know why but I have an image in my head and I'm 99% sure that it's what the building will look like...
  6. I love concrete, but I want this to be something interesting and new. Maybe glass?
  7. I didn't realize the parcel is that big. And to think the building takes up almost the whole thing...
  8. Why so big though? Honestly why so big back then? Unnecessary…
  9. You think that’s bad check out the finishes in Cleveland’s new high rise? Looks like Britain + really bad 70s.
  10. You wouldn't catch me in a room like that unless I had a sledgehammer in my hands. What did they get that from? American freight? To wait a while, ok, that's one thing. To wait a while for something that looks like a 1970s smelly apartment - yeah, no.
  11. Cinci's convention center is a botched project. Its a bail out because they made some big mistakes tearing down the hotel.
  12. Good. The thing looked very similar to Bridge Park. Had good density. Used good materials. Didn't have surface lots. That meeting was a circus.
  13. Oh I was referring to new build. I think Edwards would be able to work something out with them - it seems like something in his wheelhouse. Speaking of Edwards, Dispatch Tower application is gone.
  14. I wish it’d be downtown in the AD or even better by the commons. Could also see it going in near Jackie O’s.
  15. I just found the site. I'm convinced its Otherworld. Location is perfect.
  16. Maye this isn't - just seems like it'd make sense and fits with the vibe.
  17. No, not at all (though that wouldn't surprise me now that I think of it). No, I mean why we have any sort of manufacturing/industrial - especially at that scale - downtown blows my mind. It's not smart and it only causes problems.
  18. Not Wexner got plenty of Wexner. And Schottenstein.
  19. Its the trucks. They are a nightmare on Cleveland and Vine. So that's fine, it was there, we learned. WRONG! Some idiot thought why not build a giant warehouse for Rogue in the middle of a neighborhood. These are the warehouses that took up a meager 4-6 story building downtown on a small footprint. These sprawl several city blocks. We don't have any shipping ports that would make them justifiable downtown. Those things need to go by the interstates (and not 670 which is merely a connector).
  20. Now it smells like trucks from that annoying Abbot. I will never shut up about how horrible of an idea their location is downtown.
  21. It can apply to projects in progress...
  22. Completely disagree. If anything we need to start denying developments with basic architecture. They do nothing to contribute to the community fabric and offer little to no character. There is a reason historic buildings are held in such high regard...
