Union County: Jerome Township Developments and News
Right across the street from me. Can't wait to move. With the exception of poured basements and prefabricated panels, these homes are still terrible because they're built by mostly bad subs and subpar labor.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Nope... turns out you can get great stuff cheap. And there's always bulk deals with buildings such as these with significant discounts (sometimes more than 50%). Character matters.

columbus17 replied to StuFoote's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI didn't realize the parcel is that big. And to think the building takes up almost the whole thing...

You wouldn't catch me in a room like that unless I had a sledgehammer in my hands. What did they get that from? American freight? To wait a while, ok, that's one thing. To wait a while for something that looks like a 1970s smelly apartment - yeah, no.

Dublin: Developments and News
columbus17 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionGood. The thing looked very similar to Bridge Park. Had good density. Used good materials. Didn't have surface lots. That meeting was a circus.

Columbus: Brewery District Developments and News
Oh I was referring to new build. I think Edwards would be able to work something out with them - it seems like something in his wheelhouse. Speaking of Edwards, Dispatch Tower application is gone.

I wish it’d be downtown in the AD or even better by the commons. Could also see it going in near Jackie O’s.

Columbus: Downtown: The Assembly (Former Kroger Bakery)
No, not at all (though that wouldn't surprise me now that I think of it). No, I mean why we have any sort of manufacturing/industrial - especially at that scale - downtown blows my mind. It's not smart and it only causes problems.

Columbus: Downtown: The Assembly (Former Kroger Bakery)
Its the trucks. They are a nightmare on Cleveland and Vine. So that's fine, it was there, we learned. WRONG! Some idiot thought why not build a giant warehouse for Rogue in the middle of a neighborhood. These are the warehouses that took up a meager 4-6 story building downtown on a small footprint. These sprawl several city blocks. We don't have any shipping ports that would make them justifiable downtown. Those things need to go by the interstates (and not 670 which is merely a connector).

Now it smells like trucks from that annoying Abbot. I will never shut up about how horrible of an idea their location is downtown.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Completely disagree. If anything we need to start denying developments with basic architecture. They do nothing to contribute to the community fabric and offer little to no character. There is a reason historic buildings are held in such high regard...
