  1. I don't think we'll see another tower though until all the current ones have been converted/remodeled. PNC got its treatment, so did 5/3rd, Nationwide I bet will be converted or remodeled eventually due to their (generally speaking) vacation of the building. I've been told another large office tower in the area has been discussing changing hands and converting to apartments in the future as well.
  2. It really isn't feasible to go 20+ financially unless you're getting some insane tax benefits. I imagine this building is another Edwards project - he's the only guy in the city other than Kaufman with both the $$$ and b@lls to pull a project of this scale off. Despite the architecture of his two other projects, he's an amazing developer and truly seems to care and want to invest in the city in an impactful way. If we do ever see a capitol square tower, I'd bet my money he'd have some sort of involvement.
  3. Hey, I'm the young one here! That's my generation's lingo!
  4. What a sh!tshow. Excuses, excuses, excuses. As much as I don't like him, DeHayes would've been a much better developer for this project.
  5. I’m just posting them here? What service would I use?
  6. I have a pic of ramp up, but I can’t post it. Can someone help me this keeps happening every time I try to post something.
  7. I'd say so - it sounded like a done deal when I heard about it. The people directing this are the "go-tos" in town for all things development.
  8. It's going to be a huge deal for the region.
  9. One of the most brilliant and highly regarded developers in the city is involved- I am confident it will be an overwhelming success.
  10. Known about this for like forever. So hard to keep that one in. It's going to be transformational! The organization behind it has been very, very active lately. When the church went through, I was sure this was going to be tabled - glad to see my fears were baseless.
  11. Not shocked. It wouldn't be feasible at its height otherwise.
  12. Norman is using it in his lectures at OSU. That's how I knew it was a go.
  13. Walker was not happy about that one. Rightfully so.
  14. I'd still like to see a portion of it saved - even part of the building.
  15. Proposal Calls for 15-Story Tower, Demolition of Former Spaghetti Warehouse Building A preliminary site plan application has been submitted to the City of Columbus for the redevelopment of the former Spaghetti Warehouse building in Franklinton. The proposal, from local developer The Robert Weiler Company, calls for tearing down the historic structure and putting up a 15-story mixed-use building in its place. https://columbusunderground.com/proposal-calls-for-15-story-tower-demolition-of-former-spaghetti-warehouse-building-bw1/
  16. Very, very likely. Hilton seems to love being in the convention business (i.e. Columbus, Cleveland). Both are new towers as well.
  17. Haven't heard/seen a peep. Doubt it'll happen anytime soon.
  18. I sure hope I wouldn't be!
  19. Yes, yes, yes, and yes!!!!
  20. I suppose the financials have left the chat
  21. I remember seeing somewhere Dublin bought 100 acres off Mitchel Dewitt Rd to build an academic campus. They act like they have been caught by the wayside here and its laughable.
