Columbus: Downtown Developments and News
Didn't they just renovate it? Or was that Hexion's portion?

Columbus: Downtown: Discovery District / Warehouse District / CSCC / CCAD Developments and News
columbus17 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI bet that center lot will either be a garage or another residential building with some sort of amenity in the future.

Columbus: Downtown: Grant Hospital Redevelopments
This is just going to get more and more congested. Not sure a hospital really is going to work well here long term, and I certainly wouldn't want to live next to one and hear the sirens all night.

columbus17 replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThose COTA buses are evil though - hopefully there's wider lanes on these streets to accommodate them.

Madison County: Developments and News
The density is good enough but yes, Evans farm follows age old neighborhood principles.
-
Madison County: Developments and News
Evans Farm I think is a great model for how small-town neighborhoods should look - with Jerome village being an option for higher end/large lot more rural housing. Also, the Evans farm style historically works and keeps the community small, walkable, and connected.

Madison County: Developments and News
Wrong. Homes are getting built and not even passing inspection. Builders are not following through with their obligations to build infrastructure. They're growing to create a tax base to build infrastructure, but don't understand how they'll just be chasing that for eternity. Their attempt at affordable housing is laughable, and there's now a massive parking-centric strip mall planned on prime real estate. Not to mention South 42 is already sold and will become the next Sawmill Road. No, they're doing everything horribly, horribly wrong.

Grandview Heights: Grandview Yard
columbus17 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThey certainly seem higher quality - the problem is they're build with poor materials in the bones and use even worse contractors. Often times the material is only as good as the installer, and these guys suck!

columbus17 replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThat is extremely ugly and no historic commission should have approved that.

Does no one realize there's a ton of land left of the bridges?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
This has to be one of the most architecturally uninspired buildings ever. They need a "green wall" and a few murals at least.

Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
columbus17 replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionIt's a rather... phallic... design. Won't miss it - would love to see UC build a more modern "statement tower" somewhere on campus though.
