  1. Architecture keeps getting worse as the pics get closer.
  2. Arshot is Temu Schottenstein. I was shocked to find out they're connected. Clearly someone in the family had a nasty fall down the stairs when younger...
  3. Actually, inflation is dropping, interest rates are coming down, and there's cheaper rates on construction due to fewer starts this year. So if anything, they'd work in their favor.
  4. It's not a bad prelim but it needs significant refining. Looks like a 70s building.
  5. We need more construction pics!
  6. It's abysmal. And Bridge Park is not a destination like Easton - it has good qualities and is much better than what was there, but Crawford Hoying sucks at property management compared to Steiner. Easton is a top-10 destination IN THE COUNTRY, not comparable. It looks horrible every time I drive by it - lifeless with no character. It's like Temu gravity.
  7. No, we need to stop building like that.
  8. Yes. I meant the Nicholas - my bad. The corner part - not the other side of the street!!
  9. One side is too modern, the other side (brown side) is just butt ugly. The height could be varied as well, but I think the much larger issue is just poor facade/materials/orientation.
  10. I'm thinking they had a bad pour or mix as well for it to be crumbling this bad. I wonder if RCC would work here - I'm seeing it used more and more.
  11. This is disappointing as well. I'm really going to struggle finding development partners in this town at the rate everyone cuts costs.
  12. Some of these aren't horrible, but if that stupid Astro one pops up I'm going to lose it. Those things are a nuisance and nothing less.
  13. So, that's fine AEP, but for every tree you knock down, you need to replace elsewhere in the city. No excuses.
  14. Exactly. Still doubt they'll do anything. Columbus back in the day was a big deal in the manufacturing scene. They could highlight that if they really needed to.
  15. Can I cuss? I really wanna say what's on my mind right now... Great, you morons got shapes right. But we are not a white, bland city. It is WAY too sterile. I look at every other airport which is spending LESS money than us on a BIGGER new terminal (mind you Portland's will cost even more just due to its phased construction during operations, which is 10x more complicated than ours) and we can't get something that looks good at all. The Y shape is stupid and every new airport has a Central Market.
  16. Nah I do too just not this one
  17. This looks promising, as long as they're not built like garbage. I like these guys past work, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
  18. HUD needs to step up and it hasn't for a while. A reorg is necessary. CHIPs act is only for Intel - other companies in that work can afford to buy the fab and with the infrastructure and suppliers already being here for it, will. Lumber can be sourced from Brazil, and besides, soft growth wood is crap anyways and with how insurance companies are going to start getting with fires and floods and such, will start to become a liability in underwriting. The only issue is a long-term halt of federal grants and funds towards development, but I think those will persist due to the construction jobs they'll create. At least no one whined about interest rates though!
  19. Development occurs on "The Little Bar" site as well
  20. Probably deferred maintenance tuckpointing brick. The building looks solid but seeing the windows and such its obvious the owner is not keeping up with it.
  21. What idiot tore down 90% of the historic building? Dumb plans.
  22. They're trying to save on the interest... 4 months of interest on a construction loan for a deal this size will probably be in the millions...
