  1. The golf course thing is still on the table? Tired of cheap homes getting built in this area.
  2. I told them that NEAC should have a list of approved trees to put in. It is to my understanding they are requiring at least two on the development. I'm making this aware to the developer - I was a bit surprised they would let this slide but the more I thought about it the more I realized they probably have thought stuff like this out if they're specifying where trees need to go and how many. I come from a town with little to no planning - hence why I didn't realize this sooner.
  3. This is what's supposedly going in up front. It's called a Windmill Palm Tree.
  4. What are your thoughts on a mural on this property? Particularly on elevation 4.
  5. Think of my wording of transformative in the sense of it as a catalyst and inspiration for other properties in the area. Note that it is not the property I am working on above.
  6. I will be working on the top development. It will be something amazing I promise!
  7. This will move slower than the Hilton as an operating business is on the site - so they can't just close an entire road and lay stuff everywhere. It will be a mess and equipment and materials will have to be methodically moved around. Taking time to close, stage, and reopen areas as floors progress will add to the lead times for completion.
  8. Nationwide owns that - so I can't really say what'll happen. Y'all are looking in the right area though 😉
  9. Can't really give any details. I will say it's going to be a catalyst for the area - a lot of it from what I've heard is covered in unannounced development projects. Huge stuff. Keep a close eye on Old Towne East because from what I'm hearing it's going to transform in the next ten years. I'm going to try to get some better pictures of Oak and 18th when I get them as well! I've just got to be careful with how much I say - I don't want to leak anything out with too many details. These are big money projects and I like to stay in the developers' good graces.
  10. Next month or two if things go well. However, I will preface development is a nightmare behind the scenes and there's been many delays on this one. I'm starting to learn why things disappear and resurface after years. Financing, permits, arrangements with professional services, etc all delay a project and cause unwanted chaos. I am also aware of smaller developments going up - one I have been pulled onto currently. I will post that one soon when I get better pictures of it and completed interior renderings!
  11. I thought I saw on a thread Edwards said November 2022 and everyone was surprised as it hadn't been said before - but that could have been a different project.
  12. I have been made aware of a massive project in Old Towne East. Stay tuned!
  13. Kept my word. Sadly there's no sign of activity at all on the site - just boarded up windows and a Casto sign. However I did see two Casto trucks drive by me as I walked back, so they may be looking over things (it was early morning when I went). They've been doing a lot of utility work on Cleveland Ave. and I imagine it has something to do with that project as they're ripping up very recent pavement and curbings to do it. I'll keep everyone updated if I see anything change, but I did snag a few pics of the site for those that don't get around that area much!
  14. Doesn't it start November? I mean the actual tower? If so they've gotta get all the surrounding stuff done in two months - so I bet it'll really start to ramp up. Any live cameras coming up soon? It'd be very helpful!
  15. If we built denser we'd have less of a footprint... but the general population seems to not understand this.
  16. And the sad thing is Intel is generations behind and nowhere near becoming anything but a supplier for low end devices and PCs. In other words, this is gonna put us in a very very volatile position should they fail - which the probably of is quite large.
  17. I'll walk down there tomorrow and see if there's any activity!
  18. Construction Roundup: August 2022 Part 1 "While the summer is headed toward a closure, the work continues at various construction sites throughout the city. In this installment of our Construction Roundup photography series we take a look at development sites located in Downtown Columbus, Franklinton, Harrison West, Upper Arlington, at the campus of The Ohio State University, Weinland Park and Italian Village."
  19. They're completely out of place though in Bridge Park - up by Tuller these are fine. The approach of moving away from first floor commercial is a missed opportunity
  20. Ugh I hate that building in the back. Bridge park messed up with those weird white townhomes - just out of place and doesn't make sense
  21. They've already began with site prep and utility work.
  22. Is there a firm start date yet?
  23. The low height is really disappointing.
