  1. This design is an abomination. Nothing about the windows make sense. This is an outright horrible building. Turned from the most promising design other than Topiary park to the 2nd worst only to lose to Gilbert.
  2. This is an abomination that should have been axed. Shame on the commission for approving. Value-engineering a project to death is not a cost-saver.
  3. Idiots. There goes some big $$$ on that bridge loan. That's one way to start killing a deal...
  4. I'm so excited for this one!
  5. Should have NEVER been cement panels. This was a stucco building...
  6. Franklinton becoming funky town on Town Street lol
  7. They can have the one in front of my (soon to be) building. Its brand new and looks like crap! Gotta find an old school one more appropriate for the site!
  8. Geez those things look worse and worse every year
  9. They’re idiots. The moment you reject RAMSAs work you need to hang up the development hat. Way too many developers that have no clue what they’re doing these days.
  10. They do have a grocer locked down for the peninsula from what I’ve heard as well….
  11. Working on a transformational project in the area. Very big deal. Should be solid support from community.
  12. The corner element with the stone needs to become a rusticated limestone and not some weird CMU. And yes, brick all floors with limestone accents.
  13. Neither of these buildings made the significant changes requested of them. Hope the commission holds and strikes them down.
  14. Taiwan ain't going to do anything to us. And Intel is 2x more untrustworthy easily - they're the ones that been doing shady stuff. Just like Boeing. I'm pro American industry but for some reason we're really good at having really corrupt companies...
  15. Oh my goodness is my dream coming true??? I called this years ago!
  16. Well watch the number of cranes that pop up. I can tell you it won't be many. I'm pushing my project just because it's all I've got, and with the conditions of the deal and how we're making a long-term play, we're pitching it with a lower up front return. Most deals right now are pencilling at 5-8%, a far cry from the 12-18% private capital demands.
  17. Steiner seems focused on residential in New Albany right now, and everyone's waiting for the next rate cut. I think I'm the only guy this year that's focused on pushing deals regardless of rates. But for me the rates aren't the issue its more so high construction costs and lower absorption rates in the hospitality sector.
  18. No, but I think squeezing them will force their hand a bit.
  19. My point has been and always will be that parcel should not be a hospital. Put it closer to a highway and away from residential. Especially putting it across from the library. It's an unsightly mess and does nothing to activate the street in a positive manner.
  20. City needs to say clean up your act or move. They already have created a giant noise machine. They need to give a little too
  21. Sure can afford more stuff... https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/big-lots-aiming-to-sell-columbus-hq-to-ohiohealth-for-36-million-records-show/ar-AA1yTJhh?ocid=msedgntp&pc=LCTS&cvid=e19c475b2d424135e777c0dc2c9a4d44&ei=9
  22. More boring designs and poor materials.
  23. A nice park with some public art and a water feature would be great.
