Windsor - Walkerville, Downtown, and a little Via Italia
It's been too long since I've been to Windsor... at least two if not three years. I always enjoy a trip across the border. :)

Off Topic
It already looks like fall along Neil Avenue in Victorian Village in Columbus. So many of the trees look like their leaves will be gone before mid September. The sidewalks and streetcurbs are already covered in leaves! Seems early to me.

Contemplating A Career Switch – Thoughts?
Good luck with the career change! I actually just completed a career change myself. I graduated from OSU with a degree in atmospheric science and was doing weather forecasting for United Airlines. I then opted to go to grad school for a career in accounting. I finished in May and started the new job last week (auditing). I too was concerned about the lack of connection between my undergraduate degree and my graduate degree, but fortunately in the end I was able to find a job despite a resume that probably looked rather strange to the consulting firm that hired me.

Boston and Cambridge, slightly off the beaten path
Fantastic photo thread! I enjoyed viewing these immensely. I'm sure I could live quite happily in Boston if I were to ever move there.

Washington D.C. V- Dupont Circle
Oh how I loved this neighborhood when I was there last month.

Washington D.C.- Part III- Kalorama Heights
My goodness this building is beautiful: This building somewhat resembles the relatively famous Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, Los Angeles.

Washington D.C.- Part IV George Washington University and Foggy Bottoms
Nice to see this neighborhood. I can't recall seeing an online photo tour of the area before. I would have liked to check it out for myself when I was in DC last month, but I simply didn't have enough time. Thanks for posting these! :)

OSU: New Ohio Union and parking garage
Just thought I'd comment that I was in Columbus two weeks ago and did see the new Ohio Union from High Street. I was sort of indifferent to the building design in the past, but I have to say it doesn't look all that bad in person, at least at this point one year from completion. I look forward to checking out the interior once the building is finally completed.

Columbus: Ohio State Main Library Renovation
It seemed as though all of the construction on the campus really picked up during my junior year, which was 02/03. I too viewed the completion date of everything being really far down the line that it seemed as though it would never be finished. I was in Columbus 2 weeks ago, but didn't actually make it onto the OSU campus to check out the library in person (though I was on High Street and did see the new Union).

Worthington, Ohio
When I was a student at OSU, I always thought Worthington would be a great place to live in the future. While today it isn't my cup of tea as far as a place to settle down, I still think it's very charming and probably would be a great community to grow up in. Great photos! I actually drove through Worthington a week and a half ago. I almost stopped at Graeters for some ice cream, but I resisted the tasty but certainly fattening temptation.

Evanston, IL - Chicago's fantastic northern neighbor (80 photos)
I don't have any additional photos of the cute boys. However, just spend some time in Chicago at North Avenue Beach this summer. Particularly focus on all of the beach volleyball courts, as they'll be populated by hot body after hot body after hot body all summer long. :)

Evanston, IL - Chicago's fantastic northern neighbor (80 photos)
I headed up to Evanston today to take some photos of my favorite Illinois city other than Chicago. An active downtown, beautiful leafy neighborhoods, picturesque lakefront setting, and a youthful collegiate presence all combine to create an outstanding city. :banger: Near the Main Street purple line station: Near the Dempster Street purple line station: Downtown Evanston: Evanston lakefront: dog beach Davis Street purple line station - downtown Evanston: Northwestern University Northwestern's lakefront: I just had to get this guy showing off his hot body. Yum! :D Another hot guy! :D Lake Michigan is beautiful, isn't it? And another shot of my hot bodied guy. :D Now for some photos of the beautiful homes & leafy green residential areas near Northwestern's campus: Near the Noyes purple line station: Another decent body! :D The Foster Street purple line station: Just a few blocks east from all of these beautiful homes is the wonderful lakefront: Evanston is very leafy green! Time to head home from the Central Street purple line station: The purple line express has arrived for a relatively quick commute to Belmont. I hope you all were able to enjoy Evanston through these photos as much as I enjoyed my visit this afternoon. :)

Philadelphia: A Long Walk - Part C
Ah, Woody's. Boy did I ever have a drunken night there when I was last in Philly in September '03. After 4 drinks, including a long island iced tea, I'm lucky I even made it back to my friend's apartment. And then getting up the steps without any side railing to the lofted bedroom while avoiding falling off the side was an even bigger accomplishment. Great photos! I certainly enjoyed viewing them. Philly most definitely is a fantastic city!

Washington, DC's *wonderful* Northwest neighborhoods (102 photos)
I was in Washington, DC last week for just under 58 hours. Fortunately I had the afternoon free on Wednesday to get out & see for myself what makes Northwest DC such a vibrant & pleasant place to live & play. While I was in DC, I actually stayed with a friend who lives just 2 blocks from Dupont Circle (on Massachusetts Avenue). The photo tour starts out in & around Dupont Circle, then proceeds up 18th St NW through Adams Morgan, then westward across the Calvert Street bridge into Woodley Park, then up Connecticut Avenue to Cleveland Park. From that point, I took the Metro up to Friendship Heights/Chevy Chase, MD before returning to Dupont Circle. From there, I headed east along P St NW to Logan Circle, then turned southwest down Rhode Island Ave to Scott Circle, and finally wrapped things up by heading northwest along Massachusetts Avenue back to my friend's apartment. I most definitely liked all of the areas I visited, but for me none of the neighborhoods quite measured up to Dupont Circle. It's basically just about anything & everything I could want in an urban neighborhood. Loved it, loved it, loved it. So anyway, here are my photos. :) Beautiful building: I *adored* this building... for me, the architecture/design of it was so attractive! Cleveland Park Metro Station: Friendship Heights Metro Station: Back to Dupont Circle:

Seattle SLUT 1 (Modern Skoda Streetcars)
I agree. When I visited Seattle about 2.5 years ago, I just enjoyed looking around at all of the great scenes.

Seattle, Feb. 2009
If a poster was going around in different threads stating that they couldn't live in Texas cities because of a Mexican ick factor, or live in Detroit because of a black ick factor, or in Miami because of a Cuban ick factor, I suspect the reaction to that poster wouldn't be particularly positive. Yet it's no biggie to come into a thread and state a city has a white ick factor that turns them off. Interesting...

Wintry Boston + random panorama
Boston is fantastic. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to living there (not that I'm anxious to leave Chicago). Thanks for this small but very nice photo set. :)
