Newport's Mansion Hill
I was just in Newport December 30th - January 4th. I stayed with a friend of mine that lives in the same general area that you took these photographs. He owns a great home near 8th and Maple. Newport definitely has some beautiful old homes.

ColDayMan just scolded me for not posting here enough, so I thought I'd better post to make him happy. :)

manhattan -- lower ninth avenue
This is where I stayed when I was in New York last summer! My friend has a 1 bedroom apartment in this building. The interior court yard is sooooo beautiful. Such a relaxing retreat from the hustle & bustle of Manhattan. I think I'll be visiting him again at the end of June for Pride weekend. Can't wait to be back! :)

Chicago cost of transportation to downtown from Midway
The Orange line is great. It's fast & smooth - one of the few lines in the entire CTA network that isn't hampered by slow zones.

Blizzard of 08 Photos
Fun times. Columbus officially recorded 5" yesterday and 15.4" today as of 5pm. So the storm total is 20.4". That's an amazing number. Thanks for the pics!

Snow Day - West Central Neighborhood (Fort Wayne)
Beautiful photos, Rob. Some of the residential shots remind me of the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood here in Chicago. (served by the Francisco stop on the brown line since I know you're a big rail fan) :) The Sheridan Court apartments look great. A classic courtyard building that would fit right in on Sheridan Ave here in Chicago (or basically anywhere else in the city). It's pretty cool to see that type of residential structure in Fort Wayne. :)

Montpelier, Ohio
Yup, definitely a big railroad town. We are the Montpelier Locomotives in school sports (or just the Locos, haha).

Pioneer, Ohio
Ah, good 'ol Pioneer. Having grown up in the town just about 10 miles further south, the only good thing about the place was that their sports teams tended to be easy wins for my school. :D

Montpelier, Ohio
This is my hometown. Can't believe someone posted photos, haha. The town actually went through a pretty impressive reconstruction of Main Street sometime in the last 3 years or so (I think it happened when I was living in Houston). The store fronts and Main Street in general looked much less inviting than it does now. It was a decent place to grow up, though too small for a city lover like me. My family still lives there though, so I'm back several times each year (particularly now that I'm just a quick drive away in Chicago as opposed to being all the way down in Houston).

around the uws of manhattan
It looks like the doorman is picking his wedgie. A good friend of mine was living in the Upper West Side when I was in NYC over the summer. It looked like a great area and her apartment was to die for! Thanks for the photo tour. :)

What's your style? / How do you dress?
Awww, it's not like you're big. I've seen some of your photos and you look very fit! :)

What's your style? / How do you dress?
Some may criticize, but I generally tend to wear Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch, mainly because I can generally find shirts at those places that actually fit me correctly. Most stores seem to have shirts that don't taper in at the mid section and also tend to be too long through the torso & down past my waist. Even the majority of small shirts are too big for me (I like a shirt that ends at the waist so that I don't have to tuck it in). Extra small is best for me. Though while I frequent Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch the most, I've actually begun shopping in the children's section at Macy's because those shirts seem to fit me perfectly, ha! Macy's actually has a pretty good children's section where I can find perfect fitting shirts at half the price of adult clothing. I was also excited to see that Lacoste has children's shirts that are half the price of their adult polos! :)

Ohio's Yesterdayland - Remember This???
I remember Hills & Ames, but those are the only two that are familiar to me. When I was younger my mother would sometimes take us shopping at Hills in Defiance or Ames in Bryan. The old Hills store in Defiance was renovated & connected to the Northtown Mall. Sears is now the occupant. The Ames store in Bryan was eventually torn down to make way for a Wal-Mart (which incidentally was torn down a few years ago to build a new Wal-Mart in its place).

Zürich
The density & architecture, pedestrian vibrancy, and beautiful setting all make for an amazing city. I really need to visit there one of these days. (just wish French were spoken there instead of German... I could probably get by a little easier speaking French)

Columbus Meet - 11.3.07
Great photos. I enjoyed them! :)

Van Wert, Ohio: Seat of Van Wert County
I think you'd probably find a I think Bryan would probably be a little more fitting of that reputation than Van Wert would be, but it's still a decent little city. Good tour of the downtown.
