    Just in time for Christmas!
  2. Is the bendy straw gone from Goodale park? That thing looks idiotic.
  3. Haha, the grin on his face the entire time was great!

I shop at Aldi too. I use a laundry bag for my groceries. I think that's pretty trendy.

Yep, the good ole y chromosome really kicks men in the butt on this topic. It carries little genetics for color vision. Therefore guys have to hope their X chromosome has no mutations in the color department. If it does, you’ve got some color blindness. In fact many women are able to see shades of color on the red side of the color spectrum that no men are able to see. I forget what it’s called but it’s a trait that only exists if the gene is present in both chromosomes. Since it only occurs on the x chromosome, only women have the ability to get it.
  6. ^ I hope so too. I have a hard time believe Jacobs would hold on to this property for this long only to build something underwhelming. It stinks that it's a parking lot, but that is property that shouldn't be touched until a worthy project is proposed for it.

^ It’s always cool to see your city in movies and videos and such. Seeing that video with Cincinnati reminded me of a video from a particular band that I’d have never expected to see Cleveland. This is a Laibach video where they obviously decided to do some filming as they were touring the States. It actually has a pretty cool mix of urban shots from the US and Europe. I’m sure the music won’t be to everyone’s taste though. How many shots of Cleveland can you count? There are quite a few. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuGf6PykkCM&hl=en&fs=1

^ Must be because all the white people around here enjoy seeing offensive statements directed at white people.
  10. As renderings continue to change, I’m liking this less and less. Some of the buildings really look like they belong in the suburbs, especially the proposed building for Eaton.
  11. I’m writing in my vote. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEzh10_xoqw&rel=1
  12. I’d be careful using sarcasm. There are people that frown upon it here.
  13. Dike 14 has seemed like a waste from the start in my opinion. Why add land to your shoreline just to turn it into a grassy meadow. In my mind this project is a bust whether it happens or not.

Animals are great! I saw this video on youtube a couple weeks ago. I've always thought the stigma around pitt bulls has more to do with mean owners than mean dogs. I certainly wouldn't say they're cutest dogs around or anything, but can't believe how people mistreat them or any animals for that matter. Anyway, good story. That dog deserved some love before it died. [youtube=425,350]m2OC5Z1Fii8

Only once, several years ago when I was in college. It was a few days before Christmas and I was walking up High Street in Columbus. The streets were pretty empty because students had gone home for the break. I was feeling the holiday spirit and a Vietnam Vet (at least he claimed to be) asked for some money to get something to eat. I dug in my pockets and handed him the loose change I had which was probably 80 or 90 cents. So then he started cussing me out because apparently what I gave him was an insult. I cussed back at him and turned to go on my way. As I did he followed me for about a block challenging me to fight. That was definitely the last time I’ll ever do that.

I always heard the Japanese use a lot of suggestive themes for their cartoons, but WOW!
  17. ^^Oh, I just had scary thought when reading that PD column. Is anyone else worried that because of stubbornness, contrasting viewpoints, and money issues...this may turn into one of those projects where the building gets torn down and NOTHING is built in its place?

I don’t really follow what goes on in the NBA during the off season, but I did see the roster in Sports Illustrates yesterday. I was not happy at all to see Varejao missing from the list. I hope they can work something out.
  19. Yeah, because it's a stupid thing to do. Nothing motivates your opponent like making a public guarantee to beat them. I was happy when he made that quarantee.
  20. I don't get what's the issue. The ceilings look plenty high enough to me.
  21. ^I don’t know that there has been any real news (new or old) about this project at all. Just some word of mouth kind of stuff it sounds like. Who knows when or if any confirmation will come out.
  22. Okay, I understand. Thanks anyway. It just seems Cleveland has major projects fall through much more often than the other cities in Ohio. I was so excited about this project since the beginning and it really seemed like it was going to happen. But that excitement has really started to dwindle in the past several months due to such a lack of any progress. I was just trying to get a feel with regards to the chances it actually happens at this point. I’m no longer optimistic, but I’m hopeful.
  23. I guess I never really thought that airport runways could be so uneven and hilly…I’m surprised.

I never cared for cartoons much [youtube=425,350]aT7m8QdDJoI
  25. Not to be a downer or anything, but for you veteran posters in the know, give an honest opinion. What percent chance do you think there is that a shovel full of dirt ever gets moved for Pesht? I know I’m coming across negative, but I’m so frustrated with projects that take forever to develop, only to get scrapped.
