That is a terrible use of space. If they were built as rowhouses, they could double the number of units without building any higher.

Cincinnati: Paycor Stadium Renovations
I feel like the easiest solution is just let the Bengals move to a new stadium in Warren County or something. They can build their own private Banks of Lebanon that they have total control over and it doesn't have to be Cincinnati's direct problem anymore while keeping the team in the region.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I don't understand how no progress has been made over the last decade. Surely there's been demand for new development and the fault lies simply with the city and country being lazy?

Cincinnati: Mt. Auburn: Development and News
RustyBFall replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionBlame the amount of regulations developers have to follow to build anything. Mega blocks are just the easiest way to comply with them. It would be nice to have some more diverse building styles, but until those regulations are loosened it'll be bland 5 over 1's all day everyday.

Here we go. All the usual suspects opposing small but useful city improvements for no good reason.

Cincinnati: General Transit Thread
I know it won't happen, But if you could, what kind of rail service would you use the tunnel for? The Mill Creek Valley is very depopulated nowaday's, and it's right next to I-75 so there isn't a ton of opportunity for development.

Rails to trails is the dumbest trend in modern urban planning.- Cincinnati: Evanston: Development and News
I agree, 248 parking spaces it way too many. It should at most half of that- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I have to agree. It seems like Metro isn't willing to go the distance to implement a BRT system that will actually meet the standard of rapid transit. Most of the buses on the BRT routes are not going to be grade separated, especially in places where it would help the most, ie. Hamilton Avenue in Northside and in Gaslight Clifton. I just feel like the money being spent on BRT would be better spent on further improving city-wide bus service and frequency, rather than building out a half complete "BRT" system that doesn't do what it's advertised to do.- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
With the announcement that Amtrak has selected four routes in Ohio for Amtrak expansion, I think an extension to CUT is really worth considering, especially with all the development around the FCC Stadium. Assuming that it gets funded and built, Cincinnati will be getting daily Cardinal service and thrice daily 3C+D service so getting the streetcar out there will go a long way in convincing people to ride Amtrak and not have to rely on rideshare.- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
https://www.wlwt.com/article/cincinnati-ohio-streetcar-over-the-rhine-next-steps/46001513 What do we think the nine potential routes are. The article mentioned they could be on both sides of the river so that's something to consider.- Cincinnati: Mayor Aftab Pureval
I really hope the next mayoral campaign has some good candidates because I am not looking forward to voting for this guy again.- Anyone know anything about the 1970 OKI Cincinnati Metro plan?
Recently, I stumbled across an old article discussing Cincinnati's failed rail transit proposals specifically this 1970 OKI study in anticipation of applying for federal funds to build a subway system. Besides this map though, I haven't been able to find anything about this study so I'm wondering if anyone here has any other information about it.- Cincinnati: Northside: Development and News

Cincinnati has a long, long history of transit projects that have been left incomplete (subway, riverfront transit center, uptown streetcar) or in the case of MetroMoves complete political failure. Its perfectly reasonable to be skeptical of Cincinnati's ability to implement effective BRT.- UrbanCincy
The title is the question. What happened to Urban Cincy, they used to have a highly active social media presence plus the website. They haven't posted anything in over a year and I haven't been able to find any information about it. I assume they shut down?- Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Long time lurker just creating an account but please god let this happen the banks the needs to be fully built out and this will help with that massivly. - New York City: Transit News
