Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I know that the new cars have been ordered, so (luckily) there is no turning back now. If you are an executive at RTA, with this purchase you know trains and Cleveland will be together for a long time. RTA has spent a good chunk of change on this mode of transportation and sent the message that they are serious about rail. Knowing that, do we think that executives are being encouraged to think about expansion or upgrades to the rail system. Really, before this purchase went through I think the system could have gone either way. They could have just as easily said that rail is not working in this city and we are going to focus our limited resources on bus routes. Knowing that Cleveland is committed to rail do we think there is a good shot for expansion of our rail system? I know they funded the downtown loop study and are doing a BRT on W25th. Any chance the brt line moves towards rail, or possibly the Euclid corridor upgrades to rail?? The Euclid corridor is in a part of its life cycle where repairs and maintenance may be needed as basic upkeep and this could be a good chance to upgrade to rail.

2023 Aerials of Lake Erie Cities
The picture labeled "Cleveland and Lakewood, Ohio" where was that taken from? I know that section is under the "drone photos" and it also says from the southern part of Canada. I just didn't realize there would be farm land on the shore. Seems like some extreamly expensive farmland lol. Can someone provide the name of the town\city that is?

Other States: Passenger Rail News
This video was probably already posted but if not, it's worth a watch. If it has been posted multiple times then please delete my post. Video discusses all or most of the proposals from "Attract Connects US" it covers the entire country and what they are looking to do in terms of new lines and increased frequency as well as some lines going up to 110mpg. There is also a part of the video that talks about the 3C+D. https://www.thetravel.com/usa-amtrak-stations-upgrades/

Cleveland Transit History
I know that rail expansion in Cleveland is highly unliekly. But I am curious if anyone knows if there were any plans in the past to extend the redline down through Middleburg or Berea (Baldwin Wallace) to Strongsville or even Brunswick. The lower west side is completely unserved by rail. Were those areas ever considered for a red line expansion and if so how close did they ever get to getting build?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I'm interested in hearing Bernie Marino's opinion on this.

Cleveland: Downtown: Medical Mutual HQ Renovation
Since there are so many professionals in here as well as those that are in trades and specialty trades I wonder how much it would cost to wire this entire building for Internet with CAT 6 type cabeling. This would require wires to be ran to each apartment and hotel room with servers and networking equipment in a main networking room. Would be curious to know how much just that type of work (not to mention, plumbing, HVAC. etc..)

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Whatever happened to the London stock exchange that is suppose to be headquartered in Cleveland? I can't find any news on it past 2020- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I wasn't referring to this development bringing back Tower City to it's glory days but creating a new shopping experience in the new neighborhood that is proposed. Obviously I hope there will be some spill over into tower City but one could hope with the size of this project it could bring high end retail back downtown (with first floor retail in all these new buildings) and then spill over to tower City. But originally I was thinking this development might have the size, deep pockets and development power to bring high end retail back downtown.- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Does anyone think this development project could be used to spur retail development, more specifically the amount and quality of retail that Tower City did so in the late 80s - Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
