IIRC there are utilities below the field. They couldn’t lower the field without a huge expense.

Is there an ability to create a regional tax for these improvements?? Butler, Warren, and Clermont County should foot the bill in some way also. Can a cross state area create a taxing district? Obviously all of the NKY counties make a ton of money off of these teams. Maybe not a sales tax but hotel room tax or something. Just makes too much sense.

This game is held at Heritage solely for NIL reasons. You have an outside controller who can feed money back to the players. If it was a home and home that could not happen. Welcome to the new age of college ( really quasi pro) sports.

So much is conjecture at this time. They could build the arena SW of the Convention center but also expand the center west to meet it. I’m pretty sure Indy convention center is connected to their stadium. They do quite a few sports events between the two. My opinion having the new arena be adjacent in some way just provides more options for large events. Maybe it’s only a couple a year but that’s more than we are getting now, which is none.

Does anyone know what Hard Rock wants? Are they willing to invest money into this if it’s near their complex?

While I would prefer this closer to the convention center, to benefit that development, they make very valid points.

Are they wanting to complete them at the same time?? Doesn’t make much sense to have a completed center with no signature hotel ready.

If this is true, why are they waiting to announce it. Not questioning your take but if it is finalized I don’t understand the secrecy.

The mystery flavor is raspberry, seems quite odd. Haven’t personally tried but from those that have, weird to start but ends up ok.

So Wes’s first full class would be this year. He has signed the 5th and 6th highest rated recruits ever and just missed on the #1 player in the class. He also has the #1 Juco player signed. We will see about transfers but recruiting seems to not be the issue. UC NIL from what I hear is not elite but more than workable at the moment. Too early on Satt, may take a couple to see how that plays out. Not really put in a good position as the school moves up in competition as he is in first year. He could actually do well but results may not match. Nice start to his first year recruiting so far though.
