  1. I'm surprised they would even want to do any of this. Usually the lot is slammed pack during OSU game days and senior crawl.
  2. The entire Scioto Audubon is an absolute gem for downtown. Excited for this museum and the eventual apartment. Also, this is secretly the best place to watch Red White and Boom.
  3. The corner is too dangerous to walk as a pedestrian. Car's flying down Summit and across fifth. There needs to be a serious traffic overhaul for this intersection.
  4. Oh believe me, I'm all for making Lane Avenue 1 lane in each direction with a separated bike lane and light rail. I'm playing devil's advocate for the suburbanites that complain about traffic the 3 times a year they venture into the city.
  5. I don't think it'll help and/or allow for cars to turn left. There's very limited room to expand and/or shift the lane. The building actually compromises the view of Greenlawn avenue coming down Thurman and personally think it will create more traffic collisions.
  6. Return it to the original parcel split and you can have 7 different structures facing Long St and Spring St varying different heights. I think it would look beautiful.
  7. Hell tear down the parking garage next to this building. The entire block is parking except for this building.
  8. Not at all, the garage is up against High St. I'll get a photo shortly.
  9. I wasn't able to get a photo in time, but there appears to be a new auto shop / oil change facility going into the old Long John Silver's location.
  10. The all black on the side facing 71 is extremely noticeable. Would've been beautiful had it been brick all the way around.
  11. The garage probably costs more than the rest of the development.
  12. Agreed. Would've liken to seen each block be 3 or 4 buildings to break up the single structure and allow for easier access to walk through instead of around these monolithic structures.
  13. i'd be more willing to live in UA if I could take more public transit and/or bike to places. It's too damn hard to leave German Village when I can literally walk to a coffee shop, library, grocery, restaurants, and Schiller park in under 5 minutes.
  14. Huntington isn't ugly nor is the William Green Building. Looks like a classic late 80's/early 90's skyscraper.
  15. It's crazy they can do a bait and switch on a project of this magnitude going from $70 Million to $29 Million...
  16. Wasn't there a plan to build a hotel at the Zoo along Africa road? I could've sworn I saw a plan to include an indoor waterpark and have the hotel occupy the empty section between Africa Road and the Parking lot toll booths for the Zoo.
  17. I drove by the Marathon this morning, it's definitely open. If there's a town meeting to discuss this I want to know as I'll show up in person and voice my concern. This intersection is chaotic and absolutely cannot support a "drive-thru" restaurant or worse liquor store.. If for some reason it was a Chick-Fil-A the entire intersection would be filled with cars trying to get into the store. This needs to be a 3 story building at the minimum with apartments on top of commercial. Nothing else.
  18. There's already hundred's if not thousands of cars being parked in Carmenton and riding shuttles to the hospital. Why not just make it easier with light rail transit that drops you off at the front door and/or anywhere else around campus. Not to mention it would be much easier for folks to park further away and/or live and ride the train to campus for events / hospital / classes / shops.
  19. With the new Carmenton Area coming along on the west side of OSU campus, I think it's time for a circular light rail to be installed. This allows folks to get from Upper Arlington, to Lennox, then OSU Medical Center, Neil Ave, High St, and the Schott with relative ease. The photo is cutoff, but the line would go down Olentangy River Rd crossing over King St Bridge, up Old Cannon Dr and around Medical Center Dr till it connects to Cannon's Dr. Future lines would have one going E/W on John Glenn Avenue and another N/S line on Neil Avenue and of course a N/S from Worthington to Hungarian Village on High St.
