  1. There's also an entire parking garage under the commons before going into Cosi and several garages on the other side of the tracks in Franklinton. There's no need for any more parking garages.
  2. Just this morning I had 2 different bike riders following me on the road and it was 20 degrees outside.
  3. I've gone to that Giant Eagle several times, it was a cramped store for sure but extremely convenient. I would've LOVED a Trader Joe's but understand there's no way a store was going in this development. Hopefully we're able to get cool shops and additional dining places.
  4. I'd 100% prefer good mixed used development between 10-15 stories if the buildings look great and the street activation / amenities are top notch. I loathe the 12 story buildings with ground floor commercial followed by 5 floors of parking before 6 floors of residential.
  5. If Minneapolis can have the best bike network in the US with the highest average ridership for a metropolitan area above 300K. Columbus can do the same exact thing. Not to mention the amount of flat terrain around the city and a higher average temperature.
  6. That is my biggest gripe about Polaris, it's "mixed use development" with 4 lane highways between every building which defeats all purpose. COTA is abysmal in this area already.
  7. Here's an article last year from NBC 4 that has larger caps due to City of Columbus kicking in an extra $25 million to cap High St, 3rd and 4th street. I believe the aerial rendering is an earlier version. Either way, I agree with everyone it sucks eating next to a highway, would love to see it capped and made a tunnel completely.
  8. The highway is sunken and that doesn't deter folks at Katzingers from eating outside. There's also plans to cap the bridge and you can have the hotel along the highway to insulate sound. There's also multiple bars in the Short North that literally go over 670 a few other on Park St that does not deter folks from eating and drinking outside.
  9. I think the white needs to be brick and it would look okay, still prefer the 2nd iteration.
  10. I could be wrong, but I believe this church is out of GV jurisdiction. Would love a large style beer hall and hotel built on this site.
  11. And a few of the buildings on the NW corner of Parsons and Livingston were not built as shown on this map.
  12. I live down in Merion Village and I've seen several ADU's pop up around my home. In German Village not a lot of homes have street and alley access as lots are already subdivided.
  13. 100%. Seems like there's plenty of lots/garages around the area that parking shouldn't be needed in these new buildings, unless they decide to remove that monstrosity of a parking garage then I vote for underground parking for these buildings.
  14. I've mentioned a few times I talked with the property manager back in 2021 that indicated this project is on hold until at least 2025-2027. That's a long time to hold a project that can end up being cancelled or revised.
  15. When they require new buildings to be 12 stories along main corridors, I wish it meant 12 floors of office / commercial / residential instead of 6 floors of garage and 6 floors of office / commercial / residential.
  16. BUILD THE 4TH ST BUILDINGS NOW. I'm impressed beyond belief if that's the final design, and please please please do not include any above ground parking. There's already a massive garage connected to the walk path, if any garage space is built my dream is to build it underground (need billions over here with my fantasy). I can't wait to see this area build up along with the Capital Line. I'd prefer if the 3rd street buildings were not one monolith building but separate buildings sparing the old bank building. The height doesn't bother me as long as it's at least 12 stories minimum preferably 16-18 stories.
  17. It's ridiculous developers can tear down buildings/garages and create "temporary parking lots" that end up staying lots for years if not decades...
  18. My guess is this would be a new lane that would turn under the bridge with only one lane coming before the bridge support.
  19. There's literally two massive parking garages on Starling St with another one an easy 3 minute walk away in the Gravity property. I'm beyond fed up with adding hundreds of parking spots when It's not needed. Those garages will never be full, not even remotely close. I'm beyond angry with this project enough to go and be vocal at the next meeting.
  20. I've voiced my frustration through this forum and the part that's most irritating is the hideous flyover ramp for 71 S. The "supposed" traffic wasn't that congested and to build such a monstrosity is a huge negative.
  21. Drove down it last night and was excited to see the new bike lanes. Folks treated Broad st as a highway and would regularly go 40+ down the road. Glad to see it calmed traffic as well.
