  1. Surprisingly very little pushback against the Hullett, but Mark is a neighborhood guy and people like/trust him.
  2. I don’t think it’s objectively bad to focus on “DEI” for a thing that quite literally hasn’t been a part of most clevelanders life depending on where you live. This is a generational opportunity and allowing the lakefront to be developed full of luxury apartment buildings (especially when there’s arguably very little demand right now) and very little public space is a bad decision.
  3. Yay. More suburban retail located on the periphery and hurting cleveland. Woohoo.
  4. Traffic engineers gonna traffic engineer. Don’t worry, we’ll get another chance in 100 years.
  5. This is so goofy. Just have it taper off onto Lakeside and open all that land for development. Complete missed opportunity. But don’t worry, the eight lane “boulevard” is gonna open the lakefront up.
  6. Don’t know if this has been covered, but here’s an article on the current owners and why they’re looking to sell (hint: defaulting on all their loans) https://therealdeal.com/texas/dallas/2024/04/30/kenny-wolfe-faces-more-foreclosure-filings-in-cleveland-atlanta/
  7. doesn’t really fit the context of the street and towers over the house next door tbh
  8. i’m actually shocked they’re proceeding with this give everything we’ve heard about the market right now. who is lending them the $$$ to build this?
  9. Nah, it’s a real thing. They want at least 25’ at all times unless there’s ample room to turn around.
  10. this feels very post-apocalyptic
  11. Be the change you wanna see!
  12. 🤤 https://www.clevescene.com/food-drink/greens-salad-co-to-bring-fresh-salads-and-wraps-to-intro-in-ohio-city-45062965?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0KXQX1kswZJoEbDv4PnXCWP7mrOkGcslK7vlSJYyOrGbEWqtR5o2xrFMY_aem_aM-P847NXPuDKVxJJhIhOw
  13. It is defintely the same guy. Could bode well for its future.
  14. Those are awesome images, but I just don’t see it happening here. I expect them to submit something that is just a basic warehouse-type box. And that doesn’t fit in this part of town.
  15. Omg. PLEASE. I don’t know that it can be saved. But better a local group gets its hands on it then another out of state absentee landlord.
  16. Because there is no other vacant land in the city of Cleveland? What is the appeal of this site for them? Do they need river access for any reason? They aren’t exactly near any major highways. CLE could practically give them land on Opportunity Corridor to build.
  17. Sorely needed! Now if we could just get some new housing options in the neighborhood.
  18. Crying/laughing at this land for lease on Scranton. Thousands of new apartments and next to Cleveland’s riverfront, across from Bedrock’s plan. Their proposed use? Parking for trucks and storage. What a waste, people like this just need to sell. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1857-Carter-Rd-Cleveland-OH/28004601/
  19. Nobody is buying it for that asking price in this market.
  20. Guys… they are literally starting the groundbreaking on a trail from East 9th to East 55th on Tuesday. The trail from Cultural Gardens to East 55th already exists, albeit need revamping and to be widened.
  21. Still doing the whole 13 foot lanes thing, eh?
  22. ODOT can always find more money for highways….
  23. Who in their right mind would propose 622 parking spaces for a 309 unit building?
  24. That’s terrible news.
