IMHO, this isn't a good thing. A practice facility downtown? Sure. But right on the river front? What is the purpose of that? It will likely need to be a windowless, lifeless building from the exterior for security purposes. I could think of far better uses for river front land.

West Park building form is truly a mystery to me. It's like every building there tries to be urban while at the same time being as anti-urban as possible. They surely won't shake the "suburb in the city" mantra any time soon with developments like this.

If the Cultural Gardens were on the west side they would've have 50 studies done and millions of dollars of investment already. The current "path" is a 4 foot sidewalk that is basically unusable. Time for CLE and Metroparks to step up and get a real multi-purpose path running straight to Uni Circle from the lake.

Okay but I passed this today and had the same question. I’m sure it’s not a development (though that would be great) or we would’ve heard about it. Maybe just cleaning up the land? @KJPany leads?
