Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
It's still there but has 2 floors added to the top. The corner house to the left was demolished around 2007 or 8.

I lived across the street at 57 at the start of Covid lockdown. It sucked. Hopefully the area has improved. It was VERY unwelcoming at that time.

Same old ugly crap. Just exhausting at this point. It's difficult to feel excited about projects like this.

They claim to want to reconnect Walnut and Main, so they put a large parking lot at the rear of the building between the two streets, and the structure doesn't even engage with Liberty. And on top they're preserving the parking lot across the street. This whole thing is a mess.

Just curious but what do you think the benefits would be by converting Taft to 2 way? With th amount of traffic it carries as an exit from 71, reducing lanes and having to deal with oncoming left hand turns seems like it would cause a lot of congestion. And it wouldn't be good to have the off ramp backing up during events.

I feel like that spot on Cheapside is just doomed. There really isn't anything around it and besides the courthouse workers there isn't a lot of pedestrian traffic in that part of downtown. Perhaps some infill would be nice. East 8th is a massive parking lot.

it's everywhere else that seems to cost $50. I'm lamenting the loss of my cheap haircut spot.

I got my haircut there. It was awful. Just don't like having to pay $50 for a trim.
