  1. Its just crazy they dont have balconies or a rooftop common area on this. So many great views from the top. This location is such a slam dunk to build on, I dont get how theyre messing it up this bad. But the only other option is wait another 5+ years
  2. Maybe if Ford wants the building, we can work out another trade as part of a 3-team package working with HSG that involves them paying to demo the old stadium, and the city/county throws in the roadway enhancements needed for the brookpark dome, and Cleveland gets NASA back
  3. I just moved here, so I dont know if people used to say the same thing about the riverfront or not, but I dont know how you can see the amazing investment into multiple riverfront projects in the last few years, and then think the lakefront will just never get developed just because it hasnt been in the past.
  4. Bad day for the "We've never done anything with the lakefront, why should I think this will be any different?" crowd.
  5. More in the ongoing Terrestrial saga. Staying open for now, it seems.
  6. I received this poll, and the initial wording of the ballot measure was definitely confusing enough to make me think it would also apply to public funding for a new Browns stadium, so I initially said Vote Against. The poll then had several scenarios where it asked "If you saw an ad saying ... -insert some statement- ..... would you be more or less likely to vote for it" One of the scenarios including pointing out this only applied to maintaining current venues in the city, not funding building new ones. So I said "Much More Likely to vote for" after that one. Then after all the scenarios, it said given the questions I had been asked, if I would now vote for or against it, and I said "Vote For"
  7. This will be fun to go through all over again in 20 years when the Browns new owner complains how the Brook Park football village is a desolate concrete wasteland hostile to game day activities because theres no active retail or decent public access, and wants city funds to build a new stadium in the city or else he's leaving
  8. I would love for them to build some kind of food truck park and vendor pop-up area. Places where food trucks and local businesses can set up just for the day on gamedays and sell goods, instead of renting an entire storefront hoping for customers to randomly show up when there isnt a game.
  9. I think this looks great. Give the Haslams a $1/yr 30yr lease on the surrounding land to build the surrounding buildings with retail, parking garages, office, and condos or something to get it done. I dunno. This just seems like a MUCH better scenario for the city, county, and team.
  10. So, as a Cleveland noob I havent been to blossom yet. I won some lawn tickets to A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer on Record Store Day. How does lawn seating work? Is the view and sound quality ok? Is the traffic leaving really bad? Just looking for some input from people who have actually been there instead of relying on FAQs.
  11. Original plans made it look like Franklin Blvd's entrance from W25th through Irishtown Bend was going to be moved to actually intersect with Franklin through Ohio City. It's a small thing, but I'm looking forward to it. Hope that part is still happening.
  12. Its hilarious they're even using "drive times" as any kind of selling point considering the lakefront location (if renovated or rebuilt to have a roof) is literally a matter of minutes difference.
  13. You need a dude bro district, that way they dont show up everywhere else.
  14. Cain Park is putting together a great concert series of shows for the first full summer of legalized weed
