  1. Where were you at in Ohio City? We're moving into an apartment by Kentucky Gardens in a few weeks We're moving from New Orleans, so I dont know the areas up here, though through research that part of OC didnt sound bad (just typical city stuff)
  2. I've got friends on 77th and Detroit. Between this and the W 75th project, that could bring a big boost to the area. Just need something to open up between the paddleball sculpture and local west, which will probably eventually happen if these projects get built.
  3. The beer scene is one of the things I'm excited about most when I move up in September. That and going to baseball games.
  4. Thats so much land, the potential is insane. It could be one of the best lakefronts of any city just because of how blank the canvas is. Could also have a better bike path connecting downtown to the cultural gardens via the lakefront... Would it be possible to extend the waterfront line all the way to gordon park too?
  5. I used to go to GenCon every year, and posted this on Reddit when someone was claiming a Brook Park stadium could steal the largest events from Indy, or host a Super Bowl The best way to get huge events that overflow the convention center will be stadium renovation and the land bridge. Otherwise, a Brook Park stadium is just going to be in direct competition with the convention center for medium sized events, not an addition to it like Indy's set up. But I doubt anything could ever really steal the absolute largest events from Indy. As for a Super Bowl, it would require the Brook Park stadium, but it would probably also require 3 or 4 hotels built on premises that I doubt would ever be nearly full outside of the one week for the single Super Bowl that ever gets hosted. I will add the disclaimer that these numbers are just the best I could find on the internet, and I dont actually live in Cleveland yet (moving up in September) so a few assumptions could be incorrect
  6. His shows are excellent. Cant wait for this tour. Managed to grab one of the 500 limited edition albums off his site.
  7. @KJP 's NeoTrans article had a section saying they will focus on brewing wood-aged beer at this location. That's a solid unique addition to an area with a bunch of breweries already. Could help it stand out where North High couldnt.
  8. There has to be some kind of compromise available? If the Haslams' 50/50 share of a new stadium would be $1.2bil, that means they have the cash needed to foot the entire estimated bill of a lakefront renovation if they really wanted. (I know that's not the point, but the fact remains) Is there any kind of proposal where they basically get the land for free on the west side of a renovated lakefront plot where "The Village" and "Commercial Development" are in the city rendering? How much else would they need from the city to offset receiving an actual check for $600mil? Thats a large enough plot to put up a couple buildings, including a hotel and apartment/condo complex with lots of retail
