  1. Something like the flashing caution yellow light on High Street in the Short North needs to be installed on Goodale from the convention center to the garage. There is a crosswalk but I see people get hit almost all the time trying to cross there.
  2. I noticed a cross walk on summit around campus that has a red light for pedestrians. After they cross, it starts flashing red to proceed with caution. These need to be placed on crosswalks that cross busy intersections without a stoplight.
  3. I could be wrong, but something tells me Metro Parks wouldn't have put all the money into this if they didn't see a bigger picture for the new park. Rumor is most of the shopping center will become mixed use with apartments and retail but who knows if that will fall into place. You could be right about them snagging up more land to the west where the current quarry is. I just don't see them creating this narrow strip of land into a park and calling it finished.
  4. I watched them hoisting one up today! It's pretty incredible
  5. I'm not sure if this is just a proposal but I found this for the site on Gay Street.
  6. The residents will either have a great view of Goodale Park/Short North or of the downtown skyline. Whichever the apartment faces.
  7. I love posting pictures of the construction! View from Park street next to Goodale Park. Third picture from the 6th floor of the Russell Street parking garage in the Short North.
  8. I love the road diet they did on Tremont Road with the trees and median!
  9. This will potentially add almost 2k new residents. Pretty much the size of a small town!
  10. Does anyone know how many units/houses will be in this development when it's all built out? It looks massive while driving down Trabue, I noticed another large 4 story apartment building going up at the entrance.
  11. I'm just saying a 13 story building with corrugated sheet metal covering the entire building is the least attractive imo. Maybe this is a one off. Let's hope this doesn't become a regular thing.
  12. It matches the Encova Building in the foreground built in 1973! Honestly, this is really bad imo. I keep thinking what could be done to enhance it just a little bit. Maybe a live green wall or some greenery vines off the side? 😅
  13. Let's hope so! It would be a shame if they end it without having a main entrance on 3rd. I'm honestly afraid someone is going to vandalize it or homeless start sleeping up there and Edward's eventually closes it off to the general public. I'm not trying to start an argument about that issue but it has crossed my mind. Maybe they have gates at each end that lock after dark to close for the night?
  14. I believe Edward's plans on redoing the glass atrium into a few different retails/ restaurant spaces so it sounds like they aren't finished yet. Hopefully it continues to 3rd Street.
  15. A new Speedway at the intersection of 104 and 71 is under construction. Not very exciting news but it will be convenient for travelers using 104 south since there aren't many gas stations. I marked it in red where it will be located.
  16. Which one are you talking about?
  17. So another proposal in a vibrant neighborhood with zero retail space. Looks like the building will hold around 100 units. They should at least incorporate one retail space.
  18. I just noticed this from the pictures I posted yesterday, the building cladding is being attached to the middle size section.
  19. Maybe another developer should get ahold of the land. Mix it up a bit with everything nationwide builds, it seems a bit repetitive.
  20. Work continues on the hotel at Hollywood Casino
  21. Exterior of apartments along Vine Street complete. Rent for a one bedroom starts at $1,440 via their website. http://www.220vine.com
  22. Some random shots coming into downtown from the west.
  23. This is going up super fast!!
  24. A few years back, CCAD had planned on building two dorm buildings identical to the one in the picture. Unfortunately the building I have circled in blue was supposed to be demolished. I really hope that doesn't happen!
