You're right, it is just an estimate of U.S cities by population for 2025.

Just my opinion but this far from attractive and a horrible use of space being on High Street, the main corridor through downtown.

Also, is there a thread for Columbus population? Charlotte city proper just surpassed us to become the 14th largest U.S city. Columbus moved to 15th. Not sure if we have a topic on population.

I think it would be cool to add a addition like the The Brunson Building across from The Atlas. Maybe a little more height. The historic side could stay apartments, while the glass addition with balconies would be condos with rooftop pool for all residents to use.

Also redevelop the government building and 1 store FedEx building at Spring and High. While we're at it, the corner across the street with the surface parking lot and 2 store former Wendy's restaurant.

Im sure some kinda scandal at city hall. I thought these funds were meant to jump start development in areas that needed a boost? Polaris Pkwy definitely does not need a boost. Smh

Yes, it's for the new 7 story apartment building going up nearby in phase 2. It will match the other white building completed in the foreground.

So unlike CoGo, there will be no metal rack to lock the bikes/scooters in place? What is going to keep people from just dropping them off wherever they want. That was a huge problem in the city with the scooters laying down right in the middle of the sidewalk.

I shot this photo yesterday. A little bit of prgress on the exterior but, from what I'm seeing, it looks like we're not going to get the large clock on the right hand top of the building. Another cost saving element that made this building more unique.

The building itself is definitely more desirable to look at but I still don't understand why they kept the ten parking spaces around the building! It would look so kuch better if the building itself came right up to the sidewalk. Obviously the last two photos are of the medical building that was torn down for this project showing the parking still in place with the new building.

I was actually at Home Depot across the street this evening and dirt has already started to move on this project.

I remember reading somewhere that a church was going to take up some of the first floor space since the church will be torn down along with their parking lot. I Could have misread.

The article mentions it will likely look like the Primerose in Dublin. Two stories with playground attached.

There is a large sign up at the main entrance that's sais a preschool coming soon. Unless it's going on the first floor of the large building, it must be going in that empty lot.

Hopefully nobody throws anything over the side where there is no safety fence. I could see some idiot doing this onto a car passing under and ruining this for us all!

Agree! Columbus has one of the most spread of skylines. Someone should do a rendering of all the buildings clustered together.

Nice infill but these look very cookie cutter. Almost like they belong in Powell.

Hopefully whoever buys here understands that development could and probably will happen next door. I would hate to spend almost 900k on a condo and live right next to a tire shop.

As much as people advocate for better public transportation in Columbus, the state has one thing on their mind when it comes to getting around. CARS!

Agreed! The Long street bridge is done very nicely! I wish all of them could either be done like that or the main corridors like Broad, 4th, and High have building caps like the one in the Short North one 670.
