  1. and it is nice to see the concrete garage wall slowly disappear as the units are added.
  2. Lots to do. Congrats and good luck!
  3. What is the real story on the delay to attach the cladding or facade with the abstract swirls at the top floors?
  4. This story is getting cobwebs. Any news KJP? I hope the Browns and shore- to-core-to-shore focus is not impacting the decisions on it. Would be good to have that block on the table for development if they can move those functions elsewhere. maybe Geis can value-engineer a new justice center in order to get it done on a budget.
  5. Sshhh - don't give them any ideas - we still haven't heard where the 3rd and final Tony Goerge billborard will go.
  6. right across from a popular good little diner - JT's diner.
  7. and if it truly turns out to be "workforce-rate apartments" as purpoorted (and not Intro prices) it is a partial win. At least they didn't offer Tony George the roof for the third and final settlement billboard they are owed. btw...when does that eyesore come finally down?
  8. Either way very impressive to raise $65 million for the stabilization phase and now we have almost $30 of $45 million for the park phase -or $95 million of requested $110 million total locked down and no mention of scaling back the vision via value-engineering yet! Well done Cleveland!
  9. Skyline changing continued: The suspense is killing us all … is it Bedrock riverfront? Bedrock former Nucleus site? Sherwin phase 2? I saw this earlier above is it possible (hotel, residences and casino)? or a taller version of this (hello central Ohio)
  10. It does seems unclear how close they are with this fed grant. The press release mentions matching grants but were those matching funds already anticipated and included in the running total you have? KJP? “…The ORLP funds are matched by $10.8 million from LAND studio, which includes generous support from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation, the State of Ohio, the George Gund Foundation and other project donors.”
  11. The dots connecting the areas are slowly happening. If the Cleveland Clinic Lutheran superblock, the Vibe block behind it and others emrge soon in response to the opening of the Irishtown Bend Park, the BRT, and improving economic outlook- look out! The current perceived disconnect for visitors and newcomers discussed above should then slowly disappear between Hingetown/Detroit and Ohio City/Intro/Tremont (without even mentioning all of the adjacent development that seems to be cascading down the hill toward the Scranton Peninsula, Rock Ventures/Clinic/CAVS and now the soccer stadium). What an exciting time for the city to now confidently begin to attract newcomers.
  12. I hope the smaller urns are weighted down or cemented in as they may not survive the Cle winds or theft overnight by an aspiring entrepreneur
  13. website says vague Winter 2025 https://fidelityhotelcle.com/#:~:text=Fidelity Hotel | Opening 2024
  14. Yes we need plenty of destination worthy shiny objects on that land. If done the bluffs above the tracks should become activated all the way to 55th with housing as Chicago, Toronto and Milwaukee.
  15. I meant to ask if you have a pic of the Stonebridge recladding so we can see how the reported new gray or black panels will relate with the latest Geis design next door.
  16. Good example and yes we hope they see these examples before Thursday’s meeting. Given the design direction they seem locked on - they need to embrace it with solid nods to the Rockefeller and Western Reserve at the other end of bridge. Another example of modern brickwork to consider would be the Michael Graves DC DOT hq. While also rather bland the materials used almost 20 yrs ago are more solid and could be reimagined here.
  17. wiil be a great meet up spot for people to find easily. Hopefully the surface cleans easily from the eventual graffiti or political tagging that will lkely happen at some point -if not they should apply such a coating preemptively. Welcome ot the big city!
  18. even better at night can you imagine 😀
  19. Maybe they can repurpose the sculpture Dion Art envisoned for the Green Goat and place on the roof. https://neo-trans.blog/2023/03/24/from-kyiv-to-cleveland-art-firm-hq-moves/

Watching the Premier League Mornings Live Fan Festival on Chicago’s lakefront this past weekend made me hope for Cleveland to host one of these in near future- if only our lakefront was ready to go. Someday (hope Columbus or Cinci don't beat us to the 2 next season or after).
  21. Regarding debris clean-up I believe that can be or is being addressed? https://www.aapa-ports.org/files/PDFs/EnvironmentalAwards/AAPA 2013 Environmental Awards - Flotsam and Jetsam.pdf And this gives hope https://ohioseagrant.osu.edu/amp/news/2022/aihb0/seabin-marina-2022 If debris and garbage is still a problem at our new lakefront nature preserve and trails we will have many Gen X, Y and Zers to activate 😀
  22. More brick is better. The remaining question is which will hurt the eyes more - Bridgeworks or its neighbor Stonebridge if they follow thru with painting the exterior black and gray. I recall from the meeting that one member politely asked if Geis was aware of the planned colors next door. January and February in Cleveland may be extra dreary along this stretch (except at night when lights from each dwelling will welcome some new life to the area).
  23. I wasn't sure if it was the same dog as expected or not - but it looks close enough per what was shown as approved in an earlier thread. I am sure someone will go and measure it for us in place (so we know the dog wasn't also value-engineered like Bridgeworks🤣).
  24. I think Baiju Shah, president and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, nails the qualitative reasons why we must do this now. Per Shah: ...said he wants the city to work “with urgency” to close the small airport and open the acreage for public access. “We can make this happen. We must make this happen,” he said. The city’s future depends on it, he said...It will take a few years, he acknowledged. “But we must make this happen in an accelerated fashion.” https://www.cleveland.com/news/2024/09/cleveland-chamber-chief-supports-urgent-closure-of-burke-lakefront-airport.html The players need to recognize this opportunity set up by the 2 Bibb reports and not miss this rarely open public policy window for radical fast action versus the usual Cleveland no action or snail paced incrementalism. We need to accelorate a lot more shiny objects to compete for new residents and jobs with peer cities like Columbus (top 10 growth) and even Milwaukee (in terms of amazing lakefront access and development). Shutting Burke and converting to partial economic development (NFL or other) with the remainder as public access nature preserve will compliment Bibb's Shore-to-Core-to-Shore plan at the northern edge (as it also seems the proposed women's soccer development would activate an ugly dead zone unexpectedly at the southern tail of the Shore-to-Core-to-Shore below the Cavs/Bedrock/Clinic venture).
