Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
It's a shame those issues aren't what is holding the project up. If they said they would pay for the parking garages to get the banks out of the flood plane then I think we could get excited. So all we can do is hope the city and county pony up the money for the garages!!!

Condo Prices
I hear people all the time complain. That is one reason they give for moving to the burbs.......so they can get that 3k sq ft house for the price of a 1.5k sq ft house in the city. What do people need with 3k sq ft??

Condo Prices
If you hear people in Cincinnati start complaining about condo prices all you have to do is show them the following article: Schnitzer Northwest plans Eastlake condos Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle) - 11:36 AM PST Wednesday, February 21, 2007 Another Seattle condominium project has been announced: Schnitzer Northwest LLC said it will build the Equinox condos in the Eastlake neighborhood. The 204-unit, eight-story condo project is planned for the intersection of Eastlake Avenue East and Fairview Avenue East, between Lake Union and Interstate 5 near East Galer Street. ... Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Isn't one of the ideas/results of a streetcar system, further neighborhood development??? I bet starting a streetcar system, even though the route will be contained to 1-3 neighborhoods, will bring about more economic development for the city than diving up the 37mil to the various neighborhoods. Shouldn't the focus be what will bring more total economic development to the CITY and not the individual neighborhoods??

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
This is a comment on the funding issue..........Can't the city use the 35 million it will get from the City of Blue Ash to fund the starter line?? Wouldn't it make since to use these proceeds for this purpose??

Cincinnati: Walnut Hills: Emery Village
I don't know if anybody saw this but the condos in the above buildings were listed on Sibcy Cline as individual condos for around 89k-110k. Pretty good prices for a first time buyer!!! Today I looked and Sibcy Cline has each building listed for sale as an apartment building. Are these turing into apartments instead of condos?? I hope not!!! The pictures of the inside of the condos/apartments look really good btw!!

Cincinnati and the smoking ban
But who's decision is it on the degree of the law that you should follow?? So you are saying that since the smoking ban is less harmfull than drug dealing then it is ok to be ignored??? I say a law is a law and it should be followed................ We can not pick and choose which laws to follow
-
Cincinnati and the smoking ban
Nick's argument as to why he is not complying with the law is very flawed. Especially for someone who dealt with everything he did in OTR. What he is basically saying is since the cops (State) is not enforcing a law he is not complying with it. Couldn't the drug dealers who were selling drugs on the streets close to his bar in OTR make the same argument?? The cops weren't enforcing the laws so they would sell drugs. Once the cops decide to enforce the laws then they would stop selling drugs?? Seems very contradictory to me!!
