  1. ^ Midblock on Vine between 7th and Garfield, directly next to Garfield Mini-Mart. Used to be called Kun Ying, I believe.
  2. As long as the Thai place doesn't change their menu...I have an addiction to feed here. I was in there last week, and they have renovated the bar area a bit to make it a bit more open.

both, really. anything goes. we have decided on the first friday and saturday in may. anything special going on that weekend? we will be staying in covington. On a side note...have you toured the university before? If not I would be willing to give you a tour...I gave a tour to future DAAP students last weekend actually. If you would like me to show you and/or your family around campus let me know and it can be arranged. Oh, thats no fun. if you want the true DAAP experience Rando should just give you some room numbers to find. I am sure you would see most of the building just looking for them. :-D

I would definitely spend a bunch of time on the Ludlow Ave. business district, lots of great restaurants and shops. While you are there, you might want to check out a movie at the Esquire. The other main thoroughfare for students is on the other side of campus on McMillan and Calhoun streets. Again, a ton of restaurants (check out Myra's on Calhoun), and a couple retail places including an Urban Outfitters.

imo around campus a realtor isn't necessary. there are always quite a few places on criagslist and a few in the enquirer and citybeat classifieds. most people i know who live around the ludlow area have done it this way.
  6. I have been very impressed by the food and service every time I have gone to Honey. Not too bad on the wallet either!

Sunshine Deli on the corner of Elm and Garfield actually has more than you would think. Nothing too fancy, but a good place to pick up staples and snacks.
  8. Hipsters will ALWAYS follow the artists, and red hook is already absorbing some of the williamsburg crowd. interstingly enough, i have a friend who just moved to Manhattan from the Burg b/c it is getting so overpriced.
  9. My apartment (Groton) is about 1/2 of a block from Piatt and I take the bus to UC everyday. I have never had a problem, and the weekday bus schedule for the 17, 18, and 19 is pretty decent. At the very least, it beats driving.
