  1. Spartanburg looks like a really cool city from the picture! :) Why do they say Cleveland's unemployment is "relatively high compared to other cities on the list" when it is only higher than 2 of the 6 cities ahead of it on the list?
  2. Next week will be the toughest game of the season. Allegheny nearly upset the #6 team in the country (Wittenburg) this past weekend.
  3. Yeah! Better yet, make it free and make it go faster than an airplane! And don't spend any of my tax money to do so! And if you can't do that, well don't do it at all!

Actually, it was only one comment, and it was kind of a positive comment in a way, although dumb and incorrect.
  5. Sure, if you're British. :) Anyway, it sounds like donations are needed. Where are the people being housed in the meantime?
  6. I assume you mean you were burglarized?
  7. Could John Hay become our Walnut Hills? I know it has a great reputation (100% of graduating seniors went to 4-year colleges from this past graduating class I believe) since it was renevated and reopened.

  9. Sorry KJP, but I think she's married. :)

Try [email protected]. From the website, I see he is the head of Network Engineering and Security. If you explain the problem clearly to him (and explain that other people from outside the Case network aren't having any problems accessing the site), I would think he would be able to help you or get the right people on it.
  12. It only takes one.

Have you contacted Case's tech support? I'd imagine they should be able to figure it out as it seems the problem is on their end.
  14. I've switched jobs twice (I work in IT, I saw you work in IT as well on another thread at one point) and both times I had absolutely no problem finding a better job. I'm guessing you had an entry level job and upgraded to a better position (due to having experience on your resume) when you moved to Seattle. I upgraded my position and salary easily here, so your anecdotal evidence doesn't say much about the IT job situation in Cleveland. Surely, the average IT salary in Seattle isn't 3x what it is in Cleveland. You obviously enjoy Seattle more and I say "good for you". But don't belittle those of us who don't have the subjective distaste for Cleveland you somehow acquired (all 6 of your other points were very subjective and easily debatable).
  15. We grew up in a much-less-uppity-than-Willoughby town, MTS, so to us, Willoughby is a little uppity. Not MTS-uppity, but uppity nonetheless. :)
  16. Perry is 35 min to Ashtabula and 35 min to d/t (assuming not at rush hour).
  17. Yeah, the corner of Highland and Bishop has been infested with troublemakers. Or did you mean the one in Wickliffe that closed?
  18. It's the largest high school in Ohio. No, Fairfield High School is the largest and William Mason High School is the 2nd largest. Mentor is in 3rd with a couple schools close behind it.
  19. When I look at the ODE enrollment data for Mentor for the last few years, it seems as if they often times have "only" about 700-750 students in 10th grade, around 800 in 11th grade, and around 800-850 in 12th grade. Also, Mentor High School used to be only 10-12, but a couple years ago they included 9th grade in the high school buildings, so there's around 3,100 students in the building now.
  20. I believe it's around 850 students per grade.
  21. I think AJ93 hit the nail on the head. Other than being able to hide behind the anonymity, I think it makes it much harder on the person being bullied when they can't deal with (or simply avoid) the bully since they often times don't even know who it is. Also, it may seem like many people ganging up on them over the internet when in reality it could just be one or two people, making the situation seem all the worse.
  22. Just for the record, Madison and Harpersfield are closer to Ashtabula than Painesville Township.
  23. Here's another one..."definitely". ;) The Geneva/South Madison area is pretty, especially if you like wine. But it's not a fun commute to d/t, especially in the winter. If you move out there, I would definitely consider using the Laketran Park-N-Ride at I-90/SR 528 in Madison.
