Haha, yeah even after I figured it had the ending "nicate" and thought it must work out to something at least ending with fornicate, it still took a little while to pick up on the Roman numeral.

I never said it was a dump, but it sure doesn't have anything as nice as Painesville's square, Main St., or the area around LEC.

Ranking Ohio's County Seats
Thanks for the info, EVD. I figured a fair amount of downtown Painesville had to have been torn down, judging by the amount of 1960s building mixed into the urban fabric (which is probably larger than many people realize). As far as the list goes, any list that puts Jefferson at the level of Painesville, let alone ahead of it, has not been very thoroughly investigated. It would be one thing if they just forgot about Painesville (as it seems they did with Chardon), but to intentionally place it BELOW Jefferson is confusing.

I believe the plate didn't have spaces. It is even easier to misinterpret ILVTOFU.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Funny you mention that. Last time I left there I said to my wife as we were walking out, "It's too bad they don't move across the street." Those storefronts are mostly empty. I like spicy food, but not overly spicy. I have to ask for "Hot" to get it where I like it, but it's perfect for me. Anyone that likes food spicier than I do would be out of luck. That being said, I think the taste of everything IU have ever gotten there has been excellent. Just to name the last few things I've ordered and thought were very good: Pineapple Ginger Chicken, Beef With Spicy Hot Sauce, Halibut and Asparagus with Black Bean Sauce (probably the best of all the things I've ordered, but also by far the most expensive at $19.99), Pepper Steak, and some other type of fish that I can't remember. The only complaint I have of the place is that it can sometimes take forever to get served and they don't ever give you enough rice for the table and it can be a pain to wait for more to come.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
One of my favorite restaurants is Sun Luck Garden, which is in a dumpy strip mall on Taylor Rd. Fantastic Chinese food, though. However, if it was newly opening or if it was moving, I would definitely be wishing a better location. But I'd eat there no matter what the location is. Doesn't mean we can't still hope for better, especially when the restaurant hasn't yet been established anywhere.

I think Painesville deserves a little more respect than the Others category. They still have some nice buildings and a park on their square, as well as some restored buildings housing shops on Main St. They also still have some nice old residential areas. I would also place Chardon on the list. In my opinion, it is comparable to Medina (a quaint center of town surrounded by hot suburban mess). Both are nicer than Jefferson.

I recall him driving to the basket twice in this series (and those are about the only two times I can EVER remember him driving to the basket). Once was last night when he took a hard foul at the rim. The other was from nearly the same spot and resulted in one of the weakest dunks in the history of dunk-kind. Both times were defensive breakdowns where he had noone guarding him and a lane to the hoop about 15 feet wide. I think Z could have even lumbered in there. Wally does some good things, but he's just way too damn slow to EVER get past anyone. That is why he doesn't drive. Gibson is fairly quick, but he is a little too weak and not slippery enough to get around many defenders, and when he does get into the lane he tends to make terrible decisions. I'm not saying they shouldn't have tried to drive more, but these are guys that do not play with the mentality that they are going to create shots for themselves, they are used to being set up by others. It is tough when you put a bunch of players on the floor like that. They don't just magically switch into a mode where they all of a sudden have the ability to get around the man guarding them.

I am saying why we weren't driving to the basket when we had a bunch of guys in the game that can't create their own shot. There is a reason some of them don't play much, and those 5 never play together unless it's a blowout. The Lakers have their fair share of guys that don't create much offense as well. They just were never up by enough points to be able to afford the luxury of throwing them all out on the court at once. I think it's encouraging our regulars were able to blow the Pistons out by so much regardless of what the bench did for the first half of the 4th quarter.

Ehhhh.... Gunfire injures five in Cleveland By Donna J. Miller April 19, 2009, 7:14AM http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/04/gunfire_injures_five_in_clevel_1.html 5 shot at 6:30 am? I know this is across the Shoreway, but it's just across the shoreway. I don't know the full story of crime in that area, but I'm willing to bet there's a fair share of crime that happens outside the 2 am to 3 am window. That being said, go there yourself and see how it seems to you. It's probably not as bad as some people say, and not as good as others say.

Look at who was in the game. Is Daniel Gibson able to create his own shot? Is Wally Szczerbiak able to create his own shot? Is Darnell Jackson able to create his own shot? I'm not too worried when we have the starters and regular bench players in the game.

Why? The Lakers aren't exactly blowing out the Jazz.

I don't know about any of the other churches that are closing, but I know that St. Colman has been consecrated, which means that if the Catholic Church is no longer using the building, they must tear it down. It cannot be used for anything else.

Does this mean that to continue on East Blvd. from the museums area you now turn right onto E. 105th St. and then left back onto East Blvd.? I always thought that little connector for East Blvd. was kind of dangerous anyways, as there was no light and it crossed at a funny angle.

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
I thought your 490-77 proposal was a great one. I always use this route as an alternative to the Innerbelt Bridge anyways. I have driven it multiple times at rush hour and there just isn't much traffic on the 490 bridge, even with the Innerbelt Bridge being knocked down to 2 lanes. The 77-90 interchange is definitely inadequate, but with your proposed realignment, I think it would be a great improvement. I measured it at an extra 0.8 miles (probable less than 45 seconds the way most people drive) and it would open up a lot of new land for Tremont and the south and southeastern ends of downtown, as well as provide opportunity to build a more local bridge serving Tremont which could easily incorporate a (much safer than alongside an interstate) bike/pedestrain pathway. I have been pushing your idea emphatically to everyone I know. Unfortunately I don't know enough important people.
