No, I don't remember any. I did miss the first half of the 1st quarter though. We looked good. Ben and Andy both brought a lot of energy on the defensive end and crashed the glass hard. Andy came up with a couple of his vintage hustle plays where he swiped an unexpecting big man who was looking for an outlet after a rebound, and Ben chased down a few balls I didn't think he'd get too. It's nice to have them back, especially now that Andy can score a little bit.

Ahhh, Dublin. The ugliest "nice" city I have ever seen. I get deperessed every time I have to go there. I'm sure this office park won't help.

Are you a textaholic?
I find texting to be a nice form of asynchronous communication. It is a good intermediary between a call and email. The message is pushed to a device which you most likely have in your possession most of the day, but it doesn't require you to immediately interrupt what you are doing to receive the message and you can respond when you are free. I basically find it a nice replacement for voicemail, which just seems to take too much time (going through voice prompts, etc). Plus people tend to be more to the point when they have to type something out, rather than rambling on and on in a voicemail. Of course, asynchronous communication also means that a reply isn't urgent, and usually you just have something short to say or ask. For anything longer, or something you want to be synchronous (a conversation), then you should use a voice call. I really can't stand the people that use texting as a replacement for a conversation, though. THose people are usually doing that because it isn't an appropriate time to be talking (and thus usually isn't appropriate to be texting either, it's just easier to get away with) or they're carrying on multiple conversations at once. The problem is that it is too slow of a form of communication for something like this, and ends up eating away their time in a wasteful manner. Add that to the fact that many teens spend way too much time in pontless conversations anyways, and you have a text-addicted teenager. So in short, I don't think it is right to condmen texting like KJP, but I also think that many, many people do misuse it, which annoys the crap out of me.

The Walker & Weeks Building anybody
The Innerbelt may not be that loud there because it is sunken. When I worked out at the Y I never noticed any innerbelt noise, even when outside. I know the WW Building is a little closer to the Innerbelt, but I can't imagine it being that loud from the inside of the building. I would think Carnegie shouldn't be a problem either, although it is at the same level as the building.

Was it the one that was in the basement underneath the stores? Everyone used to rave about that place and I ate there a few years ago. I didn't remember it being any good. Does anybody know if Zaza Food and Drink is moving or if they just went out of business? EDIT: Since it was deleted from this thread, for future reference, the Chinese restaurant in question was Peking Gourmet.- Other States: Passenger Rail News

I am not sure I follow, at least the word "overall." There are a finite amount of jobs. Thus, if you take the jobs from A and put them in B, A is going to suffer. Am I oversimplifying your conclusion? I think he means "overall" in the sense that more people would be able to earn a living. The people in the suburbs have more access to get to the city to work more than the people in the city have access to the suburbs, so the jobs should be in the city.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion

I 100% agree with this, with the exception that I may take out "kind of". I don't know what it is about Battery Park, because I think that there are some things that could have been done a little better architecturally, but overall the layout does a great job of creating a space people just want to go hang out and can go multiple different types of activities on the waterfront (sit around talking, eat, walk, jog, ride a bike, rollerblade, etc.).- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Sorry, missed the joke I guess. I've met Obie a few times. It is a nice field, just was there this past fall. One thing to note if you ever go to a football game in Massillon...there are very few if any good restaurants downtown. Anyways, back to Cleveland crime.- Off Topic
My sophomore year at CWRU, when they had the orientation signs out directing people where to go, someone vandalised a cardboard sign directing people to Strosacker Auditorium. The sign was made of cardboard and placed into a clear plastic upside-down V stand. They cut the sign as follows: Stro|sac|ker Auditorium and swapped the two pieces they cut. It came out perfectly (sacStroker Auditorium), you actually had to look closely to se the cuts in the cardboard. So I thought it was pretty funny when I ran across this article on the CaseWiki today: http://wiki.case.edu/Strosacker_Auditorium- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Definitely a horrendous crime. But I had to laugh at Massillon being called an exurb. 327, have you ever been to Massillon? It's a pretty depressed old city. Exurbanites would run from it faster than a lot of bigger cities.- Cleveland: Demolition Watch
I'm sure they said the same of Victorian houses in the 1960s when they replaced them with those horrendous "open" structures.- Cleveland: Demolition Watch
