I think it was in poor taste, but I don't see it making him a traitor. I see it more as him sticking to what he's always loved...even if that means he grew up being a front-runner Yankees fan. I also thinking he has done a great job of pouring time and energy into the city of Cleveland, as well as being the Cavs' savior. We will see in a couple years how committed he really is to Cleveland, but he sure seems to be more so than many athletes nowadays are committed to their hometown/team's town.
  2. MM and CC in the WHD...worst...idea...ever, well besides voting for GWB in 2004 of course.

I really like Jackson. I will take honesty any day over fake flair.
  4. If they go out of business I'll go there just as often.
  5. ^I wouldn't say there are too many mid 19th century Italianates ready to meet the wrecking ball in OC today. This is west of Randall (by some considered to be the western boundary of OC), which was FAR less "happening" than the core area of OC. It still isn't the mecca of renovation that the area east of Randall is, but it is a much more livable neighborhood than it was 20 years ago. EDIT: I guess I let the page sit a long time. My reply was to Htsguy but I see I got trumped when the page refreshed.

  7. Did anyone read the comments to this article lately? I think it may be the most un-cleveland.com-like set of comments I have seen on that site.
  8. Heck's burgers blow away anything at M&E's (and are in the exact same price range). I highly recommend you heading over there instead...it'll save you driving/gas, be more pleasing to your taste buds, and save you the shame of eating at a chain restaurant. (OK, kidding on the last one, or am I...)

Joe Johnson is awesome. I hope Lebron beats the shyte out of the Wizards single-handedly tomorrow (well, tonight now) and that DeShaun Stevenson drop less than 5 points and looks like an ass for calling Lebron overrated. I think this team rivals the old dirty Pistons teams.
  10. It probably doesn't help that I can't stand Republican fiscal policy (especially in this day and age), but the cut in the gas tax could be the dumbest idea I have ever heard from a presidential candidate. Ever. EDIT: And by the way, Hillary supports this gas tax cut. Obama staunchly opposes it. Even if I disregarded other issues I agree with Obama on, that right there tells me a lot. Oh, yes, Ohio Hub...
  11. I like McCain's plan to cut the gas tax for the summer. Pure genius, I say!
  12. [Chorus:] This is why I'm hot [2x] This is why [2x] Uh This is why I'm hot (Uh) This is why I'm hot [2x] Whoo This is why [2x] This is why I'm hot I'm hot cause I'm fly (fly) You ain't cause you're not (Mims) This is why [2x] This is why I'm hot [2x] ---- This is why I hate pop music...when I want to listen to rap, I'll stick to The Roots, Kweli, Jurassic 5, Common, etc., but you won't hear them getting quality radio time.
  13. No...the new store will be for boaters, floating on top of an old part of W. 9th St. recently discovered under the lake.
  14. Why's that? I've been hearing for a few years that Cleveland and Pittsburgh were two of the safer cities to own a home through the impending foreclosure crisis (yes, there have been signs of it coming for a while).
  15. Personal space is relative. If 5 acres of land was the norm in suburbia, people on 1/2 acre lots would feel cramped. If people were used to urban living, I believe they wouldn't feel cramped. I have all the personal space I need, but I know part of why I feel that way is because that is what I am used to. Hopefully, future generations won't have the opinion that they need a 1/2 acre of "personal space". I mean, really, what do most people in suburbia do (or avoid) with that space? The important personal space is inside your living quarters, and there's just as much of that in the city as in the suburbs.
  16. Your point? The first lady didn't want to live there. They probably built the White House where they did because there was enough land. If anything, this shows that some people would much prefer to be "in the heart of it all". Of course there will be some that want to be in the middle of nowhere...but suburbia is hardly an escape from the congestion of the city anymore. The main concern, I feel, is safety...and that is something which would improve if people collectively migrated back towards cities.
  17. Do you have any guesses on when that stretch might reopen?

    Maybe The Nunyadambidness Building? :)
  20. Yes and cleveland.com will put you in a pissy mood. :)
  21. Gotcha...I completely missed that one.
  22. What's the point of asking a question you already know the answer to?
  23. ^The strangest part of it all is that she peers in people's windows but I have never seen her say anything. It almost seems as if she's looking into the cars but not looking at the people in them. And she always passes between all the cars then just makes her way to the sidewalk and waits for the light to turn red again. More so than annoying it intrigues me in a strange way just to know what the heck she is doing. ^^She probably could get ticketing for jaywalking anywhere with what she is doing.
  24. She certainly is a poor panhandler if that is what she is doing...she is not aggressive (in the sense of asking for money). In fact, she gives no indication that she wants money. I think she is either crazy or is selling something. I understand that, and it is actually the main reason I have never called the police. I was mainly just asking on here to see if anyone else had seen her do anything more aggressive, intimidating, or illegal. I haven't...I have only seen her acting "strange" over a long period of time.
