Cleveland High tech employers "Begging" for employees!
It doesn't help that the cost of that education has skyrocketed these days, even with financial aid.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
^It always amazes me how behind the times government agencies are. They should have had this software 10 years ago. At least if they didn't want to pay for it, they should have had it 3 years ago. People have been writing all sorts of add-ons to Google Maps through an easy-to-use API, and the city can't get this until now? I guess at least it's good they have it now. Does NYC have public access for their software, which sounds pretty similar?

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
The Southeast side of Cleveland is the highest crime area of the city now. The biggest problem central cities face is the false perception that green space = safe neighborhood.

You definitely have"The Look!"
I have "the look" for sure on my driver's license, a pedo-smile in the worst way. I really wasn't ready for the lady to snap the pic.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
It might explain it for some! :-P Seriously, I don't know what the big deal is with him. It's like people think he's a God, ever since he was at ND. The guy is good, but he hasn't proven a thing yet at the professional level (and I think he was slightly overrated in college). Not to say he couldn't be a great QB some day, but I sure don't think it should be understood as a given.

I hope that was sarcastic! If so, try using those handy emoticons   :-) :-P Sorry, I couldn't resist. :) I read that post by you directly before reading your sarcastic post on this thread, and I found the irony quite funny.

"Little boy, are you a model?" "Well you should be." David, you didn't happen to star in Classroom on Channel 101 (or was it 102), did you?

Are you using an older version of Firefox?

Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and a few from Vegas
I always thought of Vegas as an Urban Planner's nightmare. And it's so darn cheesy.

Ashtabula: General Business & Economic News
His retort to the article about Ashtabula City is to claim businesses are coming to Ashtabula County? I don't think anyone is saying Ashtabula County is in despair.

Ashtabula: General Business & Economic News

They had a trolley operating between the two until 1938. ^Ashtabula is definitely not a ghost town...but its downtown is struggling badly. The mall area by the Rt. 11 freeway has stolen much of the business (and looks like a mini-Mentor) as well as Saybrook Township to the west. It is suffering the same fate as many cities, but does not seem to have the size or money to mount an urban renewal movement. Granted, the harbor area has seen some redevelopment, but not so much in the downtown area.

Ashtabula: General Business & Economic News
Yes, Ashtabula High was downtown and Harbor High was on Lake Ave. right by the harbor. Now they're combined and out in a field somewhere (makes a lot of sense).

Ashtabula: General Business & Economic News
^Since you seem to know a lot about the history of Ashtabula, do you have any idea on whether or not the harbor and the downtown were ever two separate towns in Ashtabula's infancy? They must be a good 3 miles apart, and seem rather disjointed (West Ave. between them has many 60s structures up near Lake Ave.) I agree about the harbor having much more of a chance...there are some signs of rehab in the harbor, but the downtown doesn't seem as promising. Also, do you have any idea what they're going to do with the two old high schools now that they merged and built a new one?

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Wow, I had no idea the stadium was that "cheap" to build. Anyways, I was thinking they meant "big" in terms of impact and visibility. Obviously, ECP is big in this regard as well. EDIT: And I really couldn't tell you why the question marks were present.

Escape from Suburbia
My plaster is great as well...except for one spot where I was stupid and neglected a small gap letting water in from outside...but till the plaster was much easier to replace than water-damaged wallboard (luckily the wood was OK).

Sleep!?!?! You must get numb legs! What cellular provider do you have? It sounds like you need Verizon...$15/mo add-on gives you VCast, which means videos, ESPN MVP, and most importantly, unlimited mobile web. I used to get charged out the azz for mobile web when I paid $5/mo for it because it used up minutes (and now they do per-megabyte charges), but the VCast VPak gives you unlimited mobile web, something they don't really advertise. Steering back on topic... I used the WAP version on my old phone (LG VX8300) and it was beautiful. I actually found it by accident...I would sometimes try new sites I liked just to see how they worked on the phone and lo and behold UO was WAPified. On my new phone (LG Voyager) I can just use the full HTML version, which is pretty cool because I get all the pictures (no jokes about the bathroom and show a pic of yourself thread please).
