Cleveland: Intramural Basketball Leagues
Always, PM me. Do you play much MTS? My team in the last league I played in really coulda used a 6'4" guy. We were all pretty talented, but we were 6 guys all under 6'1" and all weighing less than 160 pounds (pretty much all guards in h/s), so we got killed on the boards.

Cleveland - next UrbanOhio forum meet will be....
I think a lot of people probably skip certain boards. I never used to read Urbanbar. However, on day I was bored and checked out every single board, and found out that pretty much every one of them is interesting. Now I waste too much time on UrbanOhio though! :)

You suck at Photoshop
It was included so people would watch it. (Would you have watched it otherwise? I wouldn't have.) On Youtube it's actually called "You Suck at Photoshop 8". ^Yes, I noticed that too (thanks to the tipoff from CiNYC). I think there are many create people in most cities, and Cincinnati is no exception.

Haverhill: Industrial Developments
? http://www.digiknow.com I feel this attitude is an exaggeration (and somewhat misconception about Cleveland), but then again, although I am into art, I am anything but an artist, so maybe that is why I have that view. Mayday?

You suck at Photoshop
Anyone else notice the last video?

Ohio Random Graphics & Maps
Why are Cincinnati and Covington not in the same MSA or at least the same CMSA?

Cleveland - next UrbanOhio forum meet will be....
Dinner/drinks would be cool for me...karaoke not so much...I'd have to be ready-to-puke-drunk to get up there and sing with my voice.

Cleveland Eateries: A Where To Guide for Visitors and Residents
I love South Side's website. For a less expensive meal at a place that's still very nice...Snicker's has some great sandwiches under $10.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I would say a new thread in this board sounds like a good idea. Speaking of Stone Madd, does anyone know if it is still on schedule to open by St. Patrick's Day?

Cooking Light names top 20 U.S. cities
Yeah, I feel we should be on that list. And Pittsburgh ahead of NYC?

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
No, but I did come across a writeup recently about the company who constructed the building, and why it is unique: http://www.referenceforbusiness.com/history/St-Th/The-Austin-Company.html

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Uh-oh, wait till lunch is over... I think what he was saying is that this is the thread for Flats East Bank, so turning the discussion into whether or not Dutch architects can build nice urban neighborhoods is a topic that belongs in a Dutch architects thread. It started off as a slight tangent, but quickly tengentized, as tangents so often do. (I'm plenty guilty of this sometimes, too.) So anyways, as the only Cleveland rep that couldn't make it to lunch today I will say, "back on topic" please.

Dubai: Developments and News
I think I have no interest in seeing it because the picutres tell me all I need to know about the architecture. I like to visit cities to really experience them...and I can tell I wouldn't enjoy the experience there. By the way, I think much of the architecture is cooler when seen from overhead than in person anyways.

Cleveland: Retail News
Yeah, do we really need another "California fashion" store?

Dubai: Developments and News
Dubai is surely one city I have absolutely no interest in ever seeing.

Greatest thing to ever come out of OHIO!
Back on topic with... Honey Hut Ice Cream (OK, OK, more people would know Handel's as the legendary Ohio ice cream, but I prefer Honey Hut).

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I have to say I agree. There is a difference between disciplining your child and being downright mean to them. I don't think there's too many excuses for telling a 6 year old you're gonna "beat their a$$". I knew kids growing up that had parents liek that, and they were the type of kids beating other kids' asses at a very young age. All it does is perpetuate an environment of violence, especially at that young of an age. Some other type of punishment is more acceptable in my opinion, as the children will learn there are consequences for their actions, not just that you threaten the use of violence to get someone to do what you want. EDIT: And I am in no way an expert on this since I have no children yet, so take it for what it's worth (maybe just an idealistic view of parenting).

Greatest thing to ever come out of OHIO!
Should have clarified the :/ with a :-P ...I simply meant that I lost out to MayDay. Although in my own mind, I never lose. Eliot Ness is better.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
And so there is a TV there, LOL. As many times as I've been there, I've actually never paid attention to the fact there's a TV there. Usually when I go to a bar, I don't pay attention to the TVs unless they're screaming at me. EDIT: Maybe I'm just too in love with the beautiful bar to pay attention to the TV. One place I love the TV at the bar...Johnny Mango...especially since when I go there to watch the Cavs, no one else in the bar is interested and I get a nice seat right up in front...and dollar tacos...getting hungry...

No, the Taproom.

Greatest thing to ever come out of OHIO!
Well, I for one am glad we all have different tastes...otherwise they'd have to just make one beer to please everybody. What would they call that beer? Light American Lager. Yummmm....... Anyways, back on topic... One of my favorite things to come out of Ohio (I know this is kind of stupid, but hey) is the AT&T (Daily Planet) building. I think part of the reason I think it's cool is because I liked the Daily Planet long before I realized it was inspired by that building.

Greatest thing to ever come out of OHIO!
Yeah...although it wasn't really a contest. I think I just lost, though. :|

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Actually...after getting over the fact that the upside down V E. 4th looking thing isn't going to be anything but an odd angle of the signs (and seeing the 3/4 angle) I think I kind of like them, too. Regardless of the shape, I think the colors are kind of slick. The shape's growing on me, too.
