Cleveland: Bob Stark Warehouse District Project
Come on now, it was pretty obvious he was being sarcastic there (and I'm not being sarcastic).

Ohio Immigration
This whole argument against immigration sounds like a very suburban ideal to me. It's just like those who tear down some woods to build a McMansion, but then once they're in, they oppose all of the people that wish to come in and build a new development. I would bet that most of these protesters had ancestors who came to the country under similar circumstances. The only difference was that our government made it easy for them to become legal. This is similar to calling people who drank during prohibition evil and criminals, but then after prohibition these same people were law-abiding citizens. Illegals are only illegal because we say they are. Maybe they should make shopping at Wal-Mart illegal, so we could then arrest all of those protesters for breaking the law as well.

Could that have anything to do with the fact that they sell Dortmunder 12-packs for an outrageous $14.99 (everyday low prices my arse)?

^ Very true...I don't like Crocker Park, but Easton is an atrocity...no mixed use...all residential is across an 8 lane divided highway...big box and highways surrounding the whole darn thing...it's the worst of the worst when it comes to lifestyle centers (I think even Legacy Village has it beat with it's lack of 8 lane highways and big box retail outlots.

Cleveland: Do you think Clevelanders are too negative about Cleveland?
I do...I have never lived anywhere but Cleveland, and those are exactly the reasons I think it is great. As much as I think NYC is an awesome city, Cleveland still has all the uniqueness that Manhattan seems to have lost some of (hopefully we never end up with a Chipotle on every block downtown or non-Italians selling Italian goods in Little Italy).

I read it as he meant the closest Nieman Marcus is in Detroit.

Fairview Park: Westgate Mall Development
There had to be more people within walking distance to downtown Rocky River. Anyone want to check density statistics on the Census website? Not to mention that that part of Rocky River/Lakewood is a far more walkable area than Westgate. Walking through the seas of parking alone is quite the hike!

Which is, unfortunately, why I think a lot of people like the suburbs. I will never understand it.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Honestly, I have a hard time believing they will get 45,000 valid signatures by August 24. Here's to hoping that proves to be true.

The Cookie Monster doesn't count.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Ha. The best part is that you pulled that graphic from the Library of Congress website. I have noticed the units sold on the website, but it seems that many sold early (it seemed to be about the same when I checked a few months ago). Are the sales slowing, the site not being updated very frequently, or is my non-scientific observation incorrect?

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
No, no, no. A quarter of a percent increase would mean $1 extra for every $400 spent. Well worth it in my opinion to have a medical mart (and oh, yeah, a convention center, too).

^ I believe someone wrote a plugin for Firefox to take care of those ads as well.

You have to plan it out...doctor one week, eye doctor another, then maybe the dentist, after that your car needs work...you get the idea.

Well I can't claim to have been in the negotiating room, but that's what I heard. Wow, you got me...I thought for sure you were being funny/sarcastic.

OK, so I reloaded the page and the pic no longer covers the posts below it. My bad (or Firefox's).

Ayyy, musky, your pics make me Firefox go buggy! By the way, does anyone here wanna help Mozilla fix the bug that makes long photo threads go haywire in Firefox? Pleeeeeeeeease... :cool2:

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
Speaking of those other clubs, how are they faring? Do the Union Club and/or Club at Key have any chance of meeting the same fate as the CAC, or are they much more stable clubs?

I can see your point, but I believe this would be enough of a boost to our economy that we would all receive a payout of sorts in that regard.

Euclid: Lakeshore & Arts Center Development
That's funny, I still drive 30 minutes to get my haircut in Mentor because I like my barber there and I'm always afraid to try a new one (I don't want to end up with a mohawk or something). I've been going there for years, since I was in high school and living in Wickliffe. So no, I don't have a suggestion, other than to stay away from Great Cuts. :) By the way, what place did you go to in Mentor?

Just hopping over from the West Brunsginia thread made me wonder if you get your hair cut at Great Clips in downtown Brunstucky. :-P

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
Not to mention completely uselss. Did you notice the upper terraces are completely disconnected from the lower ones except for the side building supports, leaving no access to the upper 80% of the building.

Correct, and I believe it is halfway en route for its ~300 foot trip down Lorain.
