It happens to me on mobile only. I had the same initial thought as you and did a factory reset, but it didn't help, so I did some research. It appears its a new "technique" rogue ads are using to redirect mobile browsers to a new page. These rogue ads have made their way into Google AdSense, so many sites are now affected, UO included. All the more reason that native apps are much better than mobile websites.

Are there any plans for bringing Tapatalk support back? The redirect ads on this site are driving me crazy. About 50% of the time I'm reading a thread, I randomly get redirected to a junk ad site that it hard to back out of. It makes reading this forum on mobile a miserable experience.

Are you saying that Facebook is a common carrier?
  4. When we went to Boston, we stayed in the Back Bay and explored multiple areas of town...but somehow we missed Beacon Hill. Your pictures make me want to go back to Boston just to see that!
  5. Speaking of small town downtowns, Ashtabula has two of them. The main one (near Rt. 84) is really struggling, but the secondary one, "The Harbor", seems to be experiencing a resurgence. The old stretches of buildings are in nice shape and there are some of the type of businesses you'd expect to find in Ohio City or Tremont in many of them.
  6. FWIW, as I was leaving the Barrio in CH today (drunken leprechaun tacos FTW), I was in a cluster of 5 cars in the heart of the Heights. 3 Ohio plates, 1 NJ, 1 NY.

Guys, this is simple. 10/n is 10x larger than 1/n for all n, regardless of how large n is. (And so we don't have to have the discussion about negative numbers or division by 0, let's just say for all n > 0.)

Not that I think playing the lottery is ever a good idea, but your odds of winning are certainly higher the more tickets you buy. But going from one to 10 tickets purchased is statistically insignificant in terms of winning the jackpot. I'm not saying it's a good idea. The odds in both cases are incredibly low. But the fact is that it is statistically 10 times more likely that you'll win if you spend 10 times as much money (assuming you pick 10 unique combinations :P ).

  10. I don't know if it matters who copied whom, but Dave & Buster's certainly has much better name recognition in the US, having over 100 locations and being founded in 1982, 26 years before Round1 came to the US. I'm not a fan of it, but they seem to be pretty popular, even if the reviews on Yelp are abysmal.
  11. It's not that I want them to fail or even think that they will. I'm just stating that the ones that have opened do not seem to get good reviews. But there are plenty of places that get bad reviews that manage to stay open, maybe because they fill a need and no better alternatives pop up. To be fair to them, I checked Dave & Buster's reviews and they seem to be even worse. So maybe this is a concept that people want, but nobody has figured out how to pull it off well yet. If so, and if this is a better option than Dave & Buster's, then it's a good acquisition for Mentor.
  12. Does anyone know about how many more floors of steel they have left?
  13. But the 50-70s was arguably the WORST time when it came to architecture lol. Haha, that's what I was thinking. I expect nothing better out of pretty much anything built in that time period.
  14. https://www.google.com/search?q=yelp+round1&rlz=1C1RAEH_enUS770US770&oq=yelp+round1&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i60j0j69i64.2943j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 They only have 22 locations in the US. It sure looks like nearly all of them have pretty bad reviews.
  15. They wouldn't have had to use Owen Brown to connect the two, though. They could have used Village Way and Clinton (both sides of each), as well as both sides of Morse Rd. to get to Owen Brown, if they just bought out two more low density properties. This also would have allowed them to reorient everything south and east so that the development connected to the first phase and didn't have to extend so far north.
  16. https://www.yelp.com/biz/round1-crystal-run-middletown Looks like most Round1's get 2.5 or 3 stars on Yelp. I'm going to guess this location won't be any better.
  17. All they would have had to buy out is Farinacci Pizza and Carriage Insurance to be able to connect the developments along Village Way, the south side of Clinton, and both sides of Morse. As is, this is awful. People will drive from one to the other.
  18. I really wish there was a way to like posts on the mobile site ??? Haha, true! I've actually done the Go to Full Site thing just to like a post before, but then it seems like you have to get lucky to get back to the mobile version.
  19. Previous year estimates are usually adjusted when new ones come out. Estimates are not adjusted.. From the census website...
  20. Meh... Graeter's is good, but I'll take Mitchell's over it any day.
  21. Is Mitchell's no longer opening at Van Aken? EDIT: Never mind, I see them listed lower on the page under the Culinary section.

You have that backwards. The animosity toward Elon Musk is because of his Hyperloop idea. No he didn't. Vactrain has been an idea since 1799, and Gerard K. O'Neill filed for a patent for a maglev vactrain system in 1991. So he copied the idea. And just because he has been successful in other areas and people are fawning over him, "his idea" has gotten a lot of attention.
  23. I can't read the article, but does it mention if Souper Market will be staying?
  24. Looks like it... http://captiv8cleveland.com/ Also...looks like they consider the martini glass to be an I and not a Y.
