  1. As I had said...not surprised it continues to go out of service on a regular basis.
  2. First time I've heard it called that, seems like most people still say Jacobs or the Jake. FWIW, I call it The Prog. Not sure I've heard anybody else call it that, though.
  3. Income is 50% higher but then they take 40% of that to pay for the "Free" healthcare. So they'd still be making more money than us even if our healthcare truly was free. But we have to spend a ton of our income on healthcare, if you're lucky enough to be able to afford to.
  4. LOL, that's so RTA.
  5. No. It depends on a lot of factors, such as the elasticity of demand (how many alternatives the consumer has). Prices may go up some, but I would bet a lot of the cost would be eaten by the parking lot operators and just lower their profits a little bit, especially if the taxes are being used to offer even better alternatives to having to drive downtown.
  6. Maybe Haslam should help fund RTA.
  7. Oh, you mean we aren't getting these? :P
  8. Don't (nearly) all trains pass through Tower City now that the Waterfront Line is on a regular schedule again? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  9. It's pretty crazy that people in wheelchairs or with strollers can't get on or off at the main transit stop downtown (westbound) for 3 months thanks to the seemingly permanently out of service elevator.
  10. German Pils is nearly as hoppy as Czech Pils, just made with a different kind of hops usually and a little drier. Both are hoppy compared to an American Pilsner, which is what a lot of people probably think of when they hear Pilsner. On their website it says the Puma (I'm assuming that's what it was) is 40 IBU, which is on the upper end of the normal range for a German Pilsner (I've seen them anywhere from 25 to 45 or so IBU).
  11. Yeah, Stark has done a good job in Westlake and Woodmere, but our experience with him in Cleveland is all talk and no show. Only he can change that perception, and he hasn't done much yet to do so.
  12. The Indians have the best record in the AL right now by 2 games (although Boston is surging). Also, they are only 1 game behind the Cubs, the best team in all of MLB.

Wikipedia says it was 1.5 million sqft. That is pretty big, but Randall Park Mall was 2 million sqft.

I agree R&R. It might depend somewhat on what your job function is, but I think open designs are awful for morale and keep you from getting as much work done as a more traditional cubicle setup. Most of the people that think they're a good idea likely have a large corner office and U-shaped desk for themselves.
  15. Well, considering the time of the post, maybe it's just a digital clock proclaiming it to be 9 am!

I'm excited about the Dunleavy trade in the same way I was excited to get RJ. I think they're both the type of player this team needs. Veterans that can give you quality minutes. And it never hurts to have another good 3 point shooter. Some people were excited about the prospect of having Ray Allen not too long ago. I'd much rather have Dunleavy.
  17. Monica Potter from Con-Air? Yes, Monica Potter from Euclid.
  18. That article and list is BS. Many of those companies were replaced with another or have since expanded (which wasn't mentioned). They mention around 50 jobs lost from Sherwin Williams closing something in 1976, but I wouldn't say that paints a very accurate picture of what Sherwin Williams has done for employment in Cleveland. Also, Bailey Meter is still open as ABB Automation. Are jobs really lost if a new company takes over a closed factory? Surely not as many as stated in that list. It makes me wonder about the accuracy of a lot of other items in that list. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Anderson Varejao and Lebron James in the top one, the next one is a little harder but I think I can get them all... Ira Newble? Larry Hughes? Eric Snow, Drew Gooden, Sasha Pavlovic, Zydrunas Ilguaskas, and Lebron James. Geez, no wonder we got swept! :P EDIT: Looked it up and Larry Hughes was right, but that's not Ira Newble (he was on the team but was #14. That's Donyell Marshall.)
  20. Pesht II?
  21. So no more Green Line for Indians or Cavs games? That's crazy. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  22. This is an interesting thread. http://www.youbemom.com/forum/permalink/8407823/can-i-run-a-restaurant-name-by-you Somebody knew about Ruby's being a no-go in February. And, no, I don't read youbemom.com, I'm just a good Googler! :P

It's laughable that he would say such a thing. Two ways to look at it showing his hypocrisy: He's teammates with one of the dirtiest players in the league AND his team's offense is predicated on moving screens which they're rarely called for. If I had access to the NBA's video archives and a lot of time on my hands, I'd try to find video of every screen that the Warriors set in the lane (which is what Klay was whining about). I'm sure they've done it on numerous occasions, probably to his benefit. I'm not even sure Mosgov's screen should have been a foul. He was perfectly still and Thompson tried to run through it a bit. If Mosgov was 6 inches shorter it would have been knee to knee and they both would have been hurt.
  24. Grind Burger was very good, especially if you splurged on the Wagyu beef, and it was always pretty busy when I was there. The service was pretty bad, though. And it's hard to charge $15 for a burger (don't get me wrong, they were worth it) in a strip plaza in Highland Heights. By the way, willyboy, the owners actually live in Shaker Heights, I believe. 25. I think it's way more simple than that. The rail there is newer and built to go where the people currently are (or at least where TOD is feasible). Many of our rail stations are in places that are tough to build around.
