  1. They played well. It was a fun season. But also, this happened...
  2. I believe those numbers are cumulative, so the 300'-500' category comparison would be 20 for Pittsburgh vs. 17 for Cleveland.
  3. That's because they don't overlap *as much*. There isn't even a county between Akron and Cleveland to gift to one or the other.
  4. Anyone who may have contracted the virus on Sunday likely wouldn't test positive yet.
  5. 5 days...which I don't understand, but it's the rule.

Well, yeah, of course, but you could say the same thing about the ICE.

EV technology has been around for longer than the ICE. The innovation has been in batteries, allowing EVs to become more practical.
  8. Makes sense, I guess it takes the onus off the referees to have to make the subjective call on whether a forwards fumble was intentional or not. I still don't really understand why a ball fumbled backwards couldn't be advanced, though.

Now if only I could watch them. Sinclair couldn't come to an agreement with any of the OTT providers and I refuse to go back to cable. I wish they'd wise up and just let me pay them $10 or even $20 per month for the Fox RSNs.
  10. Although we can't know for sure why the rule is in place, you're probably right. However, I just wanted to point out a couple things. You cannot intentionally fumble the ball forward in the NFL. That would be ruled a forward pass and thus either be an incomplete pass or an illegal forward pass if you are past the line of scrimmage or have already thrown one forward pass during the play. Also, this rule does not only apply in the last 2 minutes. It also applies on 4th down at any point of the game. To address the previous question about the ball not hitting the ground, it does not matter. The NFL rulebook states that any loss of possession of the ball by a player which is not either a pass or a kick is considered a fumble. Nobody would look at that replay and consider Baker to be intentionally passing the ball. Also, a "lateral" (formally called a "backward pass") may or may not hit the ground, and a fumble may or may not hit the ground, but they are two separate things even if they have some similarities, such as both being able to be recovered by the other team. For one, the exception about other players not being able to advance a fumble on 4th down or in the last 2 minutes of the game does not apply to backward passes. Also, the spot of enforcement of penalties or where the ball we be marked if it goes out of bounds is different for fumbles than backward passes, which is why you see officials throw the bean bag when a ball is fumbled, but not on laterals.
  11. When Hunt got to the 10 yard line I yelled "HE'S GONNA SCORE! TOUCHDOWN! *glance at clock* OH, NO. THERE'S TOO MUCH TIME LEFT!" Here's the real question, though. On the previous drive, does McSorley getting hurt on the 3rd down play win the game for the Ravens? If he doesn't go down, I don't see them bringing Lamar out of the locker room for the 4th down play and there's a much lower chance they convert.
  12. It was still open there. The "closed section" was always that way. It must have been a ramp that broke off and went back into the garage on the second level at one point, but I don't ever recall that being used after Tower City opened. EDIT: Looking on Historic Aerials, it looks like the ramp going all the way down to the ground level parking was added at some point between 1962 and 1970. Before that, the ramp was only a U that ducked back into the second level of parking, which was probably the only level of parking when the railroad tracks were still present and in use.
  13. I was downtown last night and The Lumen doesn't seem to be lit up at all. It was kind of hard to see even from a couple blocks away, haha. Looks great during the day, though!
  14. Beachwood has had these types of problems for a while, even though it has certainly intensified a bit in the last few years, and somehow still seems to hold onto most of its stores. However, if it does start to decline, I think Beachwood will be very proactive in getting it redeveloped much differently than Ashtabula, Richmond Heights, or Akron were able to.
  15. That team finished with 5 straight losses because we moronically decided Johnny Manziel was "the man" when we had a winning record. We all know how that little experiment turned out.
  16. I also think people forget that we did this with Chubb out for 6 weeks and losing OBJ for the season. The Browns of the 2000s and 2010s found ways to lose even games they should have won. These Browns are finding ways to win games.
  17. Agree...and it's also a part of why the defense has looked better IMO.
  18. Beachwood Place is going to have an even harder time keeping tenants from running to Pinecrest if this keeps happening. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/oh-cuyahoga/man-shot-during-altercation-outside-of-beachwood-place-investigation-underway
  19. The renderings indicate it will be 10 stories, 113 feet tall, which should make it the third tallest building in Cleveland Heights behind Musicians Towers and Staley House.
  20. This is more the nuCLEus vibe so far: :P
  21. The Eagles might be better than 28th in the NFL in passing after Sunday.
  22. Some ideas are more likely to come to fruition than others.

I used to love the Commercial Survey maps. I had almost every county they made, but I think now all I have left is an old tattered Cuyahoga County map.
  24. But he'll probably open one in Geauga County. Matt Fish never put a full Melt in Cleveland, and now he's even abandoning the inner ring. Also, the COVID-19 excuse is lame. The rumor over a year ago was that this location would close when the lease was up. Its business had been decimated by all the suburban expansion.
  25. That is odd they don't list any NYC branches, as there seems to be some. https://www.yelp.com/biz/villa-fresh-italian-kitchen-new-york-2 The reviews are about what I'd expect.
