Once again, I was impressed with how RTA got people out of the game and onto trains very quickly. On my way down to the game, a middle aged man sitting in front of me was going on and on to an older man he was sitting with about how the train was the best way to get to the game. It's nice to see a lot of people using it to get there.

That is such an incredible stat.

I was on the rapid on the way home from the Browns game when someone announced the score and the whole train went nuts.

I just saw this on Twitter and came here to ask what is going on with all of these "shut down 75% of the rail system" closures. It's really annoying to feel like you can't rely on the rapid running on the weekends.

Can Chris Perez blow a 5 run lead? He's trying. EDIT: I posted that before the 2 run HR. But he won't get the opportunity to finish blowing the game.

Good point, there are slight, but noticeable elevation changes around some of those curves which will preserve some views. The trees will make for some better framing in spots for sure, and some areas will have blocked views. Give and take I suppose. I think the views are more interesting when they're only available sometimes. You come over a hill or peek between trees and "wow, there's downtown" rather than it just always being in view. Kind of like approaching Cincinnati from the south on I75/71, or coming through a tunnel to downtown Pittsburgh from the west.

Is there going to be any traffic calming? Will there be any intersections? If you keep a wide road with no intersections (only freeway interchanges), how do you expect people to not still go 60 MPH? They won't be able to write enough tickets to slow people down.

We scored each of our five runs in a different way last night: RBI single, RBI triple, sac fly, RBI double, solo home run. I'd have to think that doesn't happen all that often.

Not only that.... the Browns play on Sundays when most people are not working. Sunday afternoon Tribe games this summer had terrible attendance.

Browns games don't sell out either. I go to a few games every year. Other than the first game or two, most are at most 3/4 full. There is large institutional buying so the games aren't blacked out. Not as bad as an Indians game, but the Browns aren't immune to falling interests. Sure, they're not immune. But they're much more bulletproof than any other team I've seen. Seriously, when's the last time you would say they were good let alone consistently good?

Still, you can't compare support for the Browns to support for the Indians. Just listen to sports talk radio.
