  1. "14,000 customers" would mean 14,000 restaurants I believe, since they are the paying entity. The "users" are actually part of the product (since they don't pay anything). (The users are customers of the restaurants, but not customers of OpenTable.)
  2. I almost went to that. I'm glad I didn't readjust my schedule to fit in a cancelled event. How could they be advertising something a week or two before the event and not know that the project is months away from being ready?
  3. He's also a member over here, but I'll let him out his identity himself. Well given his tendency to makes similar lists on UO (which is much appreciated) - I'm guessing MurrayHill?? Ding! Ding! Ding! "That's correct! Tell him what he's won, Johnny." "Dinner for two at SoHo, on his in-laws!"
  4. Me four. The food was good and the service even better.

I've been to that one (Alaturka). I was referring to the one in Tremont (Turkish Grill I believe).

The one in Tremont or the one in Ohio City? I believe the fries are the same at Greenhouse Tavern as well (although they may advertise it there).

Why do you think Hts is a lefty?

I agree with R&R's selections. Excellent choices. I would also add Bar Cento/Bier Markt (Ohio City) as a good option if you want better than average bar food and a good selection of drinks in a nice atmosphere. And I've heard good things about the Turkish place in Tremont although I have not made it up there yet.

MTS further proving that sometimes "value added" and "number of posts" are inversely proportionate.
  11. Neither Wallace nor McCoy are the QB of the future, but I have always thought Wallace is easily the better QB of the two. Sorry, just realized I posted in NFL instead of Browns thread. Oh well, the Browns are still technically a pro football team, so I suppose it's still on topic.
  12. And as long as there's a butt...
  13. Yes, this is the Beachwood JEDD. There's actually two of them in Beachwood (East and West), and I believe this is the Beachwood East JEDD. What's that mean, exactly? Also, I have to ask, are they saving any of that land for Figgie International? This is important. There are two zones (JEDDs, Joint Economic Development Districts) in Beachwood where all income tax is shared between Cleveland and Beachwood.

I'm saying that you don't need to live right next to things that aren't daily activities. You don't see families crowding into developments around Disney World so they can visit more often. I don't think most people ski enough to make it necessary to live right next to the mountains. And everyone I know who has lived in either or Portland or Seattle rarely enjoyed the outdoor activities available, just as those who live around here don't often visit the Rock Hall, Art Museum, or CVNP. Those are specialty destinations which can be enjoyed as part of a short trip or getaway, not daily necessities.

How many people ski often enough that they couldn't travel a couple hours for a weekend to do it? It's not a daily activity. I'd rather enjoy a place for the things I do on a day-to-day basis, and be a "one tank trip" from places I like to "get away" to, which I think Ohio is an excellent location for.

Bingo. I have relatives that moved to Denver. I go to the Rockies more than most of them do. It reminds me of the people that go on vacation to Florida and want to move there, only to find out that they don't actually have the time to go to the beach every day.
  18. It's in the Beachwood JEDD.

  20. And I'm sure the kids would love Disney World over Yellowstone or even Hawaii, but not every vacationer is a kid. I agree with natininja. I'll take a vacation to a nice, walkable, active city any day over a "single attraction" type of place. I've only been to Cincinnati a couple times and my wife has never been there. We've talked about making it a vacation at some point.
  21. Have any of you contacted the Forbes editor? I was complaining about people on Facebook spreading around a link to an old Forbes list. What good would contacting Forbes do?
  22. The Cleveland State game is on online on ESPN 3 (http://www.espn3.com) tonight at 7 pm.
  23. I thought Seneca looked pretty good as well. He's not the future, but he clearly has a better arm (both strength and accuracy IMO) than McCoy.
  24. I don't think I-90 needs to absorb any traffic at all. I think that the Shoreway can handle all of the traffic it currently does at rush hour with a 35 MPH speed limit and a few well-timed traffic lights.
  25. It's a 2/3 mile walk, even from the lot on 23rd right by Payne, which is the same distance as going from the Soldiers and Sailors Monument to Euclid Ave. and E. 17th St. at the east end of Playhouse Square.
