I think this one works better than the first one posted. Plus we won't need a discussion about what city it is, haha.

Most people would be fascinated about why the eye sees color, but here the first discussion was about what building was in the image and in what city. Only on UrbanOhio, haha. :)

I can't imagine having to work 70-80 hour weeks. I have had to do it maybe a few times when work was really hectic, but it's awful. I always wonder how it's possible to have a life outside of work since the long work week not only takes up a lot of your time, but you're completely drained even when you do find some free time. Anyway, I work very flexible hours. I would say the norm is about 9 to 6 with an hour lunch when we're not as busy, and slightly longer plus some remote work in the evenings and weekends when we are busy. On the whole, I probably average 45-50 hours a week. I dress casually all the time, which is great. Usually jeans and a polo or casual button up or shorts and a polo, but sometimes a t-shirt. Sandals in the summer. I don't hate dressing up, but I wouldn't like having to do it every day. We have no contact with clients (other than occasionally on a conference call, although we're technically not supposed to) so there's not really a reason to have to dress up. I also do independent contracting on the side on my own schedule, but only about 5 hours a week on average, and usually late at night or midday on weekends.
  7. Well that was painful. Could that 8th inning have been the end of the Indians season?

My pet peeve of the week: Time Warner Cable Hands down THE ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever had to deal with. I could go on and on about the crap I have had to deal with trying to order service from them the last couple days, but I won't because I don't need to make myself more upset right now.
  9. Fuck lemmes ay fuck cmion
  10. Fuckin cperez
  11. Too bad they're all solo shots. Can't wait til his RBI's catch up w/O-cab. Even with his HRs all being solo shots (which are more an indication of how bad the rest of our offense has been as of late than anything), he's still on pace to have 30% more RBIs than O-Cab once he reaches 324 at bats.
  12. Detroit lost today. We really need to get back to 3 games out tonight.
  13. Then a European shower will do the trick, haha.
  14. 0.6 miles...a nice little 10-15 minute walk! :)
  15. That'll be great for when I ride my bike downtown to visit friends in the newly renovated Columbia Building apartments.
  16. I see what you guys are syaing, but I think that those semi-rural areas would become suburban. Look at how suburban the collar counties already are (Russell Township, Bainbridge Township, Chesterland, Grafton, Brusnwick, Medina, Avon, Aurora, Streetsboro, etc.). I would just expect that to continue, especially in counties that don't have urban centers (Geauga, Medina, and Portage especially).
  17. I question this as well. It seems that when there is a murder on the west side, people say "that just didn't used to happen over here", but I seem to recall these types of crimes happening on the west side 15 years ago, so I'm wondering if it's just perception.
  18. You absolutely are atypical (and that's a complement to you). I have worked at two suburban offices, and I would say 75% of the people I have worked with won't go downtown unless they are absolutely forced to, and probably nearly half haven't been downtown in years. Many suburbanites won't go downtown at all if they don't work downtown.
  19. Suburban people dine and shop downtown every day? Maybe YOU do, but you're not every suburban person. Maybe when over half my suburban office stops talking crap about downtown and are proud of not having even been down there in 10 years then people won't have a chip on their shoulder about what many suburbanites think about the city.
  20. We have enjoyed Luxe each of the 3 or 4 times we have eaten there as well, and we have tried a pretty good variety of the menu. It has been about 4 months since I was last there, though.
  21. I have been there twice, once to drink and once to eat (and drink). Both times I had a great time, and the time I ate the food was pretty good (better than what you'd get at most pubs). Sure, it's no Zach Bruell restaurant, but I didn't expect it to be (and could care less if it is since the beer is the real reason to go there).
  22. Wtf is Santana doing these days? He just interfered with a runner and then didn't back up the relay throw, allowing a run to score. Wake up!
  23. Haha, I see what I did, but I don't know how I did it.
  24. Huh?
