  1. And serves Holy Moses?
  2. Speaking of the Agora, what was going on there this Wednesday? There were a bunch of 20-somethings (like 100 or more) gathered around the fire escape on the side of the building and a few that had wandered out to the front of the building at around 3 PM.
  3. It's been a long time since the Browns could stretch the field. It used to be because our line couldn't give our QB enough time to wait for the receivers to go deep, and now it's that we don't have receivers that can go deep. I feel like it's my golf game, where I'm either hitting the ball really well and putting like crap or vice versa, but just can't put the two together.
  4. Yep, that's correct, except that the movie is actually called "Fun Size" (not that anybody's going to watch it anyway).
  5. hibbled that bibble like a jibble on the dribble Jon Stewart references are always appreciated.

So is Cleveland Heights (which is just past UC). In fact, a large portion of Cleveland is both directly north (even northeast) and south of Cleveland Heights, just as there is a large portion of Cleveland directly south of Lakewood.
  7. I was watching the game. I was hoping that someone would come off the bench because LaPorta was about the last person I wanted to see up in that situation. He either hits it a mile or hardly at all. He strikes out too much and is real slow, so a big chance for him to get doubled up. As far as you mentioning the 4-6-3 (or 6-4-3) double play...the infield was way in, so they were going home first no matter what. Also, the ball was hit right at the second baseman, so I'm not sure even Grady would have beat the throw back to first. He did get a slow start out of the batters box, but that was because it was a check swing on an inside pitch (which may have been ball 4). A strikeout would have been better at that point, so I would have liked to have seen him take that pitch and take his chances on it being called a ball and tying the game up. He did have an awful swing on an outside slider when the count was 0-1, but that's par for the course for him. I can't believe that guy can't learn to put a decent swing on that pitch, he looks like a fool every time someone throws him a slider just off the plate.
  8. Well, at least I got to see a no-hitter.
  9. The article shows up on my home machine, but on my work machine (which goes out to the internet through another city) it doesn't show up anywhere on the front page. Click the Local header on the news headline list below the image and see what it says for your location at the top of the list. At home, mine says a location around here and at work it says an out of state location.

Nor would we want to have to try. Put me firmly in the camp of snow is better than 100 degrees. You can bundle up in the winter. You can't go around naked in the summer unless you're MTS, and even then you'd still be hot (temperature wise).
  11. I have also heard that Luna has very good crepes.

Back when I was in high school and college, I used to play at Coulby (near Wickliffe/Euclid border) and Euclid Creek (aka The Creek). Coulby was closer to me and there were usually decent games there, but Euclid Creek was more consistent and had some very good players (a few D1 guys would play up there). I know there's courts at Cumberland (or at least used to be) because some of the guys would talk about playing up there. Safe is obviously a relative term, but I found that it felt safer the better the games were (people were more serious about playing and cared less about getting into trouble). Obviously, it helps out a lot to not be looking for a fight or be overly cocky or talk trash.
  13. It does house the highest revenue Target in NEO and a Macys. It does have a fair amount of vacancies (especially since Tops closed), but the stores that are there seem to do well. I like the parking lot design, although it has had structural problems. The interaction with the street is pitiful, though. The same goes for Whole Foods, where shoppers coming off the bus have to walk around the back of the store to enter, even though it's built right up to the sidewalk.
  14. With regards to the shuttles, how is another transportation option a bad thing? That's like saying bringing CVSR into Tower City would be a bad thing because then people could park their car in Independence and ride the train right into the casino. So what? Those are the type of people that would drive their car directly there and leave right afterwards anyway. And the shuttle is more likely to encourage them to explore other parts of the city than going straight to the parking garage and leaving downtown. And it also may encourage people to eat somewhere like Ohio City or Tremont before heading to the casino instead of Crocker Park or Legacy Village.
  15. I beg to differ! A THE Nice House in Beachwood But yeah, after this one, it'd be hard to find another. (Although I think the clubhouse at Canterbury is technically in Beachwood, even though some parts of the course are in Shaker Heights.)

Is that the place on Route 20 in Perry Township? I believe this might be it: Street View
  17. GFS should have gone in where Tops was and the strip mall that was there should have stayed (yes, it was ugly, but it had functioning businesses) until there was actually money to rebuild it right. The problem, though, is that the south side of Cedar is University Heights and the north side in South Euclid (and also that I don't believe Coral owns University Square). Regional cooperation would have been nice here. There's no way South Euclid should have torn down the old plaza when they did.

Geneva on the Lake itself is a little skeezy for my liking, although my wife has fond memories of Eddie's Grill growing up (to me it just seems like a dirty fast food burger joint with a 50s flair). However, we recently discovered the Lake House Inn and Winery, which is a B&B with a few patios that serve simple food and wine (I suppose they make some or all of the wine themselves). The wine and food is serviceable, surely nothing special, but the patios overhanging beaches right on the water make for a spectacular and relaxing setting. The place is just west of the main part of the strip, right between the lodge and the main strip, so it has a more relaxed feel and you don't get the bikers cruising up and down the street in that part. http://www.thelakehouseinn.com/lakehouse_inn_winery.htm Also, there are some nice views of the lake along 531 between Geneva on the Lake and 45. Downtown Geneva itself has some nice buildings right at the corner of 20 and 534 as well, and it seems like they've had a little resurgence of late (less vacancies than I used to remember). For checking it out, I recommend exiting I-90 at 45 to go to Geneva-on-the-Lake, driving up to Lake Rd. (531), turning left and enjoying the views (especially at the points where the road is literally feet from the water, separated by only a guardail and a small dropoff, then returning down 534 through downtown Geneva. Lake Rd. in Saybrook - Street View (Obviously, looks much better on a sunny day, but you get the point.) Downtown Geneva - Street View
  19. Falafel Cafe, Indian Flame, Chopsticks, Qdoba, Starbucks, Rascal House, Mi Pueblo, Euclid Tavern. That's actually a pretty good variety (covers pretty much all of the bases) of inexpensive food all right around Mayfield and Euclid.
  20. Pearl Street Wheat was fantastic. I had it as part of the sampler. The only beer they were out of was the IPA (and not the "soon to come" IPA but the other one they were supposed to already have).
  21. I agree about the decor, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything else about the place, especially...
  22. Haha, that reminds me of a guy at my work who was complaining one time when we got lunch at a place I recommended that his burger had romaine lettuce on it and then going on to tell me how he only likes iceberg lettuce.
  23. Hurston Ct., off Cliffview between Belvoir and Euclid. EDIT: And I didn't need your second clue. :)
  24. Around E. 105th and St. Clair?
