Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
Would the presence of this stadium ever increase the possiblity of CSU launching a football program? Its wells situated to the campus and with an appropriate capacity. It would also offer some additional fall/winter usage during the down time for soccer. Maybe Dan Gilbert could lend them some start up money as its just another way of trickling additional traffic into his future developments.

Bedrock/HBSE should ask for $600 million in bonds for what would be a far more economically beneficial project. The state is about to set the precedent of handing out truckloads of free money at a very low bar. It'll be open season following this as far as I'm concerned.

Is there that much money in airport parking at a middle of the road airport like Hopkins? The cheapest official lots are what like $16/17 per day(?) and there is going to be another 1500 spaces coming when the old Sheraton lot opens. Sure they could undercut to some extent but is it really that much of a potential cash cow? I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the thought that's what they might try to do as I'm really not convinced by the demand for their development and they will see it as a lesser evil to the parking spaces lying completely empty. I just feel a bill of goods has been sold about this whole thing. The airport proximity, the extra events it'll bring, the real estate. I'm not sold on any of it.

Although I've approached the stage of acceptance and now willing to see the city move on, I cannot help but feel what if. That Brook Park project on the Burke Lakefront would have been fantastic and then some. Potential for higher buildings, more public space, proximity to the urban core. I just can't find the enthusiasm for this location at all. It sucks.

I am somewhat shocked they haven't announced commercial tenants to add weight to their position with d-day approaching.. Maybe there just isn't the interest? I would not be shocked if the office component does not go forward without letters of intent. They are attempting to lease a lot of space in a very slow growth market. This is a suburban Dallas development in a rust belt town.

Unfortunately the NFL is now an arms race. Beyond a few of the "poorer" legacy owners, most are pushing for literal theme parks and that does not lend well to existing urban environments as it requires A LOT of vacant land to achieve this. A domed stadium, thousands of parking spaces, mixed use development and it's all only for a guaranteed 10 events per year.
